D-LINK DFE-538TX 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER PCI
Cons:it has some problem with older computer
Pros:very basic NIC Comment:
I have 2 of these NIC, worked fine, it can share the internet if you know how to do it.(crossover cable) It has some driver compatable issue with older computer pre-win98. It cann't recognize itself, you need to manually install the driver. It shouldn't have too much problem after windows xp. Although it is 10/100 transfer speed, the news ones has up to 1000 MBps. |

D-LINK DFE-538TX 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER PCI
Cons:A little large compared to other NIC's the width of just the jack pretty much. But a meaty card does look kind of nice if space isn't an issue.
Pros:A cheap, but reliable NIC. Has the good D-Link name. Supports 10 and 100 base T (pretty standard). Comment:
A good all around card. Other models may be cheaper, but unless you are really going tight budget this is a good pick. May be a bit large for a custom PC. |

D-LINK DFE-538TX 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER PCI
Cons:- No complaints
Pros:- Fast- Reliable Comment:
My onboard LAN went about half a year ago. As soon as it went, I rushed out to buy this Ethernet card. Easy installation, and not one problem. I believe mine came with a Wake-On-Lan cable as well, I just don't use it. I have a 10 year warranty on this card I'm sure too... there was a sticker on the box.Great card, highly recommended for it's price. |

Cons:none that I have noticed
Pros:price, installation Comment:
I have had this card for a few years and have not had a problem as of yet. It's decent if you are on a dsl or low speed cable connection, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are playing newer games over a lan |

D-LINK DFE-538TX 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER PCI
Cons:about 6 times slower then any other card, even older ones, cause rouer to malfunction and shut down
Pros:inexpensive and works (not well) Comment:
What can I say except Do not buy this product, save ten dollarss and go for less expensive ones, because this card S-U-C-K-E-D, this is a terrible product, its literaly six times slower then any other card ever, and because its slower but it reads that its 10/100, my server/router goes down, because it cant take the "foreign" connection, this isnt a good product, dont buy it. thats all i have to say |

D-LINK DFE-538TX 10/100 ETHERNET ADAPTER PCI
Cons:get what u pay for
Pros:Cheap (as in Free!) Comment:
If you are with bell sympatico, simply just tell them that you believe yours to have broken down. In one week they will send you this brand new card in the mail :D no cost. Easy to install and does the job well. |
The D-Link DFE-538TX is a great NIC at a great price. It's lasted me years now, and I've never experienced problems with it. If I had one qualm, it would be that sometimes the lights don't go bright enough for me to see. Oh well, seeing as how I use those lights less than once a year.
