connector choice Lifespan... Employed for 2 daysHas not died however... but the fan is no longer spinning and the PSU is super Hot simply because of that... It'll die if I let it run for an hour. Possibly could not manage the load two SATA HDDs(not writen to once), 1 SSD 1 DVD ROM, 45 W AMD CPU + CPU fanPlain Video card (NO PCI-EX energy Connector)

It's truly modest, you have to see it. A lot smaller than the mATX PSU that it's replacing and a lot more strong with all of the typical connections you would will need for a newer machine... or pretty much all. If it puts out 350W, and is stable, this should be a good mATX resolution for people today stuck with mATX form factor circumstances. I'm surprised it supports 6ư PCIe, I wish I could test it out. I purchased this for a AM2+ motherboard with a Phenom II X2 550BE in it. The CPU needs the 8pin power to run in X4, with no it the CPU is underpowered.I purchased this PSU mainly because it's 380W, mATX, and supposedly had the 8pin cpu power connector... it doesn't. Newegg says it does, the box says it does, the instruction manual shows the 8pin connector... every little thing says it ought to be there, but it's just not there. Molex, PCIe 6ư, SATA, 20Ʋ Motherboard, 4pin CPU, all there... but there is NO 8 pin. You cannot run your mATX AM2+/AM3 motherboard with your X4, with this PSU, or any other that requires an 8pin, despite the truth that it clearly says everywhere that you can.:(

It's got 380 watts and plenty of connectors. It's built solid and looks great. It drives an AMD Phenom ii x6 1100t Black Edition, integrated ATI Radeon 4250 graphics, a discrete ATI Radeon 5450, an SSD HD and an HHD with no complications. Good price to boot. I wish it had 1,000 watts? It's not the most effective MATX PSU (which only go to 500), but serious gamers aren't the audience for which the MATX form factor is developed anyway.

I bought this to replace the stock 230w PSU that came with my micro ATX case and it fit perfectly and is running fine so far. Really flexible sleeved cables with a lot of connections to power all of your elements. The cooling fan is no louder than my other case fans.I wanted to install a new a nvidia GT 240 graphics card in my HTPC system and I was worried the stock 230w PSU would not supply sufficient energy so I ordered this also. Spending the additional 30 bucks just to be on the safe side seemed logical to me. It is accurate that it only has a 4-pin ი volt connector for the motherboard but mine only requires a four-pin so it wasn't genuinely a con for me. Nonetheless, when I opened the box I was shocked to see an 4-pin to 8-pin adapter for the motherboard sitting proper there. I guess the other reviewer's didn't receive the similar adapter, I'm not sure? If you didn't obtain the adapter, Newegg sells them here on their website for 6 bucks - it's a easy affordable fix to your difficulty. It's not that major of a deal really.... It good to have the PCI-e energy connector but you will still require to be careful about selecting a graphics card that will operate inside the energy limitations of this PSU. You may well be able to run a mid-range GPU like nvidia GTS 250 or ATI HD 5770 or even an older 8800GT but it would be pushing the limits of this PSU.

Lots of power connector alternatives, solid power output, performs as it really should. Silent fan in back. Decent weight to the supply components. Wire to main motherboard power connector was somewhat short. The mainboard I used with it (Asus M4A785-M) had its power receptacle near the bottom half of the motherboard. I could have employed more slack in the wire. It had to be pulled as tight as possible and I wasn't able to follow the cable path for optimum airflow, etc. If I purchased another type of mobo from a distinct mfg, it most likely wouldn't be an concern. Wonderful small PS that fits in smaller mATX instances. My case is an older enlight mATX that has a cutout for a regular size ATX PS. I use a little bracket adapter and attached it to this PS. Works amazing...fits like a charm.

came with an 8 pin connector, not a 4 pin. so i just ended up plugging it into my 4 pin slot with half the connector hanging over.every thing works, and its pretty searching not modular. makes it tough in a htpc case where there isnt significantly room. this factor is TINY. like baseball size small.still fits in a standard size opening, but only 2 screws can be utilised and there is a ӭ 1ǘ" gap between the supply and the case.

The three screw holes lined up and everything bolted together noprob, to my relief. Pretty hefty, no surprises. I couldn't call the fan noisy at all. The braid around the wires is a sort of nice touch. They throw in a couple of plastic ties, which is...nicely, nice. None whatsoever, but just as an observation does every thing have to be black? Instances are already hard to see into, and having a case full of black stuff doesn't support at all. Jeeze manufacturers, make something yellow or some thing, willya? Be positive to check no matter if the odd Ɠrd) screw hole is on the appropriate or the left. Issues weren't as standardized 10 years ago as they are--pretty a lot--today.
