Comment:
I upgraded to this card from a 9600. This card allows me to play a lot of games at higher resolutions. Good for the price and going to get another to put in sli. |

Bought this card 2 days ago. Working great with my amd 64 X2 3800+ and 2 gigs of 800mhz ram. Able to run crysis on all high settings and full 1440x900 resolution in xp with no lag at all. On top of it all, it looks very nice and is only a one slot card. great card i recomend anyone get it. |

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 01G-P3-N981-TR Video Card
Cons:Not quite as much bang for your buck as some of the other cards, so wait for a sale.
Pros:Single SlotLimited Lifetime Warranty Comment:
I purchased this card for a system I built for someone else. It was running Fallout 3 c 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, with high settings just to give you an idea of performance. The system was a Q8300 with 8GB or ram. Ran fine out of the box. Just be sure to register it to take advantage of the warranty. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-28-09 02:13 PM |
I bought the EVGA 9800 GT to replace a 7900 GT in a three-year old system. The installation was simple even though the new card was significantly larger than the 7900. The system in question is an Antec P180 case with a 550W power supply, an ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and an AMD 4600+ dual-core processor. I have run virtually all applications and games on my upgraded system and the 9800 GT performs flawlessly. I notice a significant improvement in resource-intensive games like Crysis -- smooth operation on the highest display settings. I consider the 9800 GT 1GB video card to be a very good value at about $130 (July 2009 price).
