Extremely fantastic price tag for an entry level 400 series card; incredibly cool that it came with a cost-free game to boot; really good warrantee coverage when you register your card; and beautiful DX11 graphics......when it works. Just to let those out there know just before getting this card, I am just finding my THIRD (yes, THIRD) GTS 450 SC from EVGA through their RMA. Very first card died following 2 weeks, the second 1 following a month; I'm truly hoping this third one particular does not die out on me either.Other owners of this card talked about brief life span and tearing of video, discoloration of graphics, and the sort. In addition to all that, I've had missing textures and total system crashes mainly because of this card.I see all the positive critiques for this card and I know EVGA is a very reliable corporation when it comes to their video cards, but either I'm performing anything really, very wrong (from just employing it often) or I'm just receiving a bad batch of cards each and every time. EVGA has a extremely fast and responsive RMA service. Not only are they thourough, they have 24-hour assistance as well. Extremely handy for the night owls or these who perform through the odd hours.Exercise caution when buying this card (and make positive you have a backup a single just in case this one particular goes down for you). My 2-year-old dual EVGA 9500GT's nonetheless run to this day in an SLI setup and have by no means failed.

I bought this card along with an EVGA mobo/vid card combo deal in October (EVGA P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR). I have been so pleased with this vid card's performance I ordered a different for SLI not even a month later. The performance for the price can\'t be beaten. I play WoW on Ultra settings and absolutely nothing slows me down. Definitely none! When I ordered this card it had cost-free shipping and even a mail in rebate. I received one of my rebates back these days from the mobo/vid card combo deal and I mailed it back in October. Yes the rebate approach takes time but seriously, have some patience. The price/rebates and performance as well as EVGA's warranty and client service is worth it!

-cost-effective-can run all the latest games and make them appear great too-extremely quiet-runs cool -none I'm running this with an Intel I3 550 @ three.2 GHz with 6 gb RAM. Crysis runs at 1920x1080 with every thing on high and 8x AA @ 24-30 fps. L4D2 runs ultra smooth with anything maxed, as does The Witcher. The card is so quiet that my HDD accessing is still the loudest thing in my Computer. It is a longer card and the energy connection is at the finish so you need to have some space to spare, so make sure you measure your Pc prior to you get; the dimensions are clearly listed in the description. I was hunting for a mid range card that would run everything I could throw at it with out costing me an arm and a leg, and this card has completed every little thing I could have hoped for.

Runs all my games at max settings with very good frame rates, never ever a hiccup.Low cost: Paid much less for it than I did for my old 9800gtx+Quiet EVGA precision utility won't let me adjust the fan speed manually. Think it's an concern with the lateset Nvidia drivers. This issue is rock strong. Idles at 35c under no circumstances goes above 70c generally sits appropriate at 68c when playing games. As I mention it's quite quiet. Can't even hear it at all over my case fans. Almost certainly due to the fact the fan is operating at its lowest settings at all occasions. Wish I could turn the speed up a little. Wouldn't mind a tiny noise in order to bring the temps down some. Guess I'm gonna try a various utillity for the fan. Best budget video card obtain I've ever made.

Price for what you get. Nuff said. Two of these in SLI compete with/beat the leading cards, and only price you half the value. If you check around, there are lots of evaluations with benchmarks to back it up. Hokey cooling solution...but does the job. I have two in SLI (x6 1055tʂ.8, 8gbPC1600), and i am quite pleased with my acquire(s). Previously, i went top of the line and had an X1900XTX, which i got for 600ish suitable when they came out. There is no point...two of these will do something you could need them to.I have a h2o setup, and i used to run my cpu + vga on it...but i ony had a single block, so i decided to leave the factory hs&F on them. It has not triggered any matters, but the quality of the hs&f as compared to, say the 1 that came on my 1900, is lacking, and does not move substantially air. I am planning on finding another vga block and placing them on water. May well not be necessary, but they will remain cooler, and hey...water is wonderful.I'd advocate these to anyone, regardless of cost range. I will likely remain on the dual GTS path as it is tremendous bang for your buck and I won't really feel so negative swapping them out for the most current'n'greatest in a year.

Runs cool: 35c idle, under no circumstances went over 70c below loadQuiet: Can't hear it at all over my case fans.Shorter than my EVGA 9800gtx+Runs all my games with settings maxed out at smooth playable framerates. Usually in the 60sWin7 score of 7.6 on my rig. Went belly up soon after a week. One more reviewer stated that his went negative in two days. Figured he just got a poor card. Mine created it a week just before it threw in the towel. Operates fine in the desktop environment, but load up any game and it artifacts the whole screen and locks up the computer soon after about five minutes. At 1st you could play CIV 5 for about two hours prior to it would lock up, then reboot the pc and it was excellent for another hour. Then it began locking up immediately after an hour and upon reboot the bios screen would be corrupted. This would clear up immediately after a reboot also. But now, five minutes into any game and it freezes almost everything. Believed it could be a driver dilemma simply because the 3rd time it locked up the EVGA precision utillity didn't recognize it immediately after a reboot, and the device manager said it had a challenge. Tried the Nvidia drivers and the evga drivers with the exact same result. Also my 9800gtx runs fine on those very same Nvidia drivers. Was a little concerned that it may possibly be obtaining too hot. (can't adjust fan speed with Nvidia drivers) But it never got more than 70c. With the EVGA drivers the fan ran at 40% when set to auto and the card stayed at 65c under load.My power supply is from computer power and cooling and has a lot of juice. So, i'm gonna chalk this 1 up to a negative card and RMA it. That's a pain, but if you make and upgrade as a lot of systems as I do then you know it's just something you have to live with occasionally. So, even though i'd like to give it 5, i'm going to give it three stars for the inconvenience. Odds of receiving two bad ones in a row are fairly slim. (crossing my fingers)

None. If you're on the fence about obtaining one, just do it. Heck, get two and you won't even be slightly disappointed.

Games looked fantastic when it worked Constant crashes, troublesome and lengthy rebate, tech support and RMA procedure. Been waiting 9+ weeks for rebate, and RMA has taken 4 weeks so far... I bought this card from Micorcenter back in December when it was much additional high-priced. Sent in the rebate (still waiting on rebate) and installed the card in a brand new i5 box I built. Loaded drivers and display was fine - till I loaded up and started playing games. Playing ANY game (BC2, COD, World of Tanks, etc) would cause the computer to freeze immediately after about 5 minutes. The screen would pixelate and show various colors and the pc would need to have to be rebooted. The card worked for internet browsing, word processing, and so on. Too poor I wanted considerably a lot more from the card in the way of efficiency. I finally solved the difficulty by purchasing a 5770. When I get the 450 back I willl sell both cards and obtain and higher finish card. At the moment I doubt I will buy another GPU from EVGA although - I'm extremely unsatisfied with this entire exchange. It's too negative simply because I've been getting EVGA products for almost a decade. Manufacturer Response:Hi,Can you get in touch with me directly at jacobf@evga.com so I can work with you, please reference your post in your email.Relating to the rebate please send an e mail to rebates@evga.com so we can supply you an ETA.Thanks,Jacob

Fast! Economical! Runs cool! I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on MAX on a 23'' monitor, and my computer is rather old. Replaced my old 8800gts. When I first used this card, it was slow and laggy in BFBC2. The issue was the drivers that came with this card. Do NOT use the drivers that come in the box. Nvidia just released new drivers on 1ቮቧ. Following installing the drivers, my fps in BFBC2 went from 30-40 to 50-60 fps! I'm nonetheless running a Q6600 processor Ɠ. overclocked) and windows XP, this card boosted my laptop or computer to run the newest games. Almost everything I throw at it runs flawless. For this price tag, this card is a steal. Going to acquire one more for SLI.

Effective card for it's value. Operating FF XIV on max settings with no a dilemma... Until my principal card started throwing driver errors and artifacts. Immediately after 1 week of somewhat heavy usage (On stock settings), the main of my two cards began to freak out and throw a lot of artifacts across the screen along with driver crashes. This could be due to the use of the 260.63 beta drivers from NVIDIA or a fried card. My thoughts are that it is fried mainly because I run 2 22" wides and every single screen runs on a various card to avoid drawing GPU energy though playing a game. The second screen remains unaffected although the primary screen is having all the trouble. RMA'd and waiting on replacement now. I have bought for myself and pals about a dozen EVGA cards in the past ten years. I have always had very good luck and excellent service with them. This year although, their product top quality and service has taken a turn for the worse as I clarify beneath. On a side note to EVGA, when a consumer calls to let you know about issues with service or products, the incorrect thing to do is to tell them that it's their dilemma. If you want to be a much better organization then you will need to acknowledge and deal with both the good and the bad feedback. Not just brush it back off on to the client, even immediately after you acknowledge that the fault was on your corporation's behalf. The card worked.Fan is silent. Prior to this card I had an EVGA 9800 GTX+ SC 512MB. Starcraft 2 advised all settings on ultra, except for texture because it needed 1GB. When I put in the GTS 450, it advised every little thing to medium and texture to ultra. I tried SC2 with every little thing set to ultra. My FPS was about the identical for the most portion. The cutscenes were less smooth and in busy game play it has gone as low as 9 PFS!This factor gets as hot as 75 C in a cold room that's only 65 F.I called EVGA pre-sales prior to generating a obtain. I explained what I had and what I use. They told me the 450 would be an upgrade. It clearly was not. When I spoke to a manager, he told me I was given poor info and that the challenge was mine to deal with. Eventhough EVGA's client service on this was lousy, Newegg's RMA service was wonderful.I bought another EVGA card earlier this year. It had to be RMA'd, due to the fact it had faulty memory.I gave EVGA the chance to make items appropriate, but they dropped the ball. I can understand the occasional faulty item, but there just is no excuse for bad service. It was negative enough that pre-sales gave me negative info, but the fact that the manager acknowledged it and then told me it was my difficulty was just unacceptable. What a best way to lose a ten+ year loyal consumer. I construct systems for myself and pals. I generally tell them the great and the negative of what and who I deal with.I recommend that you buy from Newegg. If EVGA makes a mistake they tell you to deal with it. Newegg picked up where EVGA failed. EVGA could find out a thing from Newegg about high high quality customer service.Technique Details:ASUS Striker II Extreme MB, 3. I purchased this along with an EVGA motherboard combo deal back in October (EVGA P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR) and I could not be happier with a motherboard. Fantastic motherboard, potent, SLI capable, able to manage i5 or i7 cpu's. The cost, warranty and efficiency provided by EVGA can not be beat. Their client service is top notch, generally there and friendly and useful and the merchandise themselves are leading of the line. You can\'t go wrong! Not really a con but to take notice - When I initial started working with this motherboard it would start out up, shut down then restart. Right after speaking with EVGA's client support which is offered 24 hours a day 7 days a week (beat that other companies!) I found out this was regular. And right after updating to the newest BIOS it stopped performing this. I have constantly been an AMD cpu fan. But now that I have attempted EVGA for my motherboard (been a long time user of EVGA vid cards) I can honestly say I will be buying not only my vid cards from EVGA but also my motherboards. Thank you EVGA!

Low-cost, Good WarrantyAlready OCBest for 1600x Rez , if you game at 1080 you need to have 470,480,580 or 560 Ti. rebate is iffy as usually. it's constantly luck of the draw if you ever see that extra cash back so keep in mind you are paying full price.not the initial time i've been burned. Making use of this for Folding@home. compared to my GTX 285 it pulls in 14k PPD vs 8k PPD fully overclocked 285. my aim is to maintain this operating for a year, by that point it will die (folding kills cards quicker than you think). at which point EVGA Awesome warranty will get be a brand new card ;)
