Comment:
I bought this a few months ago to replace my 50" LED LCD TV. I wanted something bigger but without breaking the bank. I have blackout curtains in the living room anyways and for the same price as a new 60" tv I could get this as well as a fixed screen for the wall 3d glasses and a ceiling mount. WOW! Love it.. While during the day it is a bit annoying to have to close the curtains to watch TV I would seriously never go back to a smaller display again, I opted for a 109" widescreen fixed mount screen to display the projectors image and opted to push the projector close to the screen and widen the lens to minimize light loss/wash out. at 2000 lumens it's bright not quite the 2300 lumens of the 3020 that was nearly double the price but it's brilliant! Everyone loves it. It also universally supports any open standard RF 3d glasses, I chose the Samsung ones for 30$ a piece so I could get 4 without breaking the bank (Epson's were 100$ a piece). They're not as comfortable for the price and the amount of 3d movies I watch it's more than enough. The projector is quiet but I added that the fan is a bit noisy, in my setup the projector is mounted directly over the couch only 3-4 feet away the wires run along the I-beam running through the room to partially hide the cables. The fan can be heard during quiet moments however I keep the projector at all times in dynamic or living room mode with the power setting set to ECO mode, in ECO mode the light is lowered and the fan runs at a slow speed rather than full speed, the noise difference is substantial but the light output is negligible. I also opted for the 3LCD style as I'm sensitive to light artifacts I seem to focus on them and this does not suffer from that and 3 colour wheel projectors are expensive and VERY noisy. In the store it was big and you could hear it. This when on in a store made no noise... I wouldn't trade this setup for anything
