GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Comment:
This card is quiet. I was use to the computer getting a tiny noisier but following installing this card I thought the computer was off. Was nice to be able to load up GTA IV in much less than 20 sec than the 60 to 90 sec with old card. It's a Gigabyte. Third item from them with no issues. Had a problem with the driver on the disc but fixed that by downloading the newest from the web web-site. Card is a little longer so it made factors a little tight but manageable. Thanks Newegg. Shipping was super quick. I am at a military base in Korea and generally it takes three to four weeks to get stuff. This was ordered on the 4th, left your spot on the 8th and arrived right here on the 14th. ten days from the date I purchased it to my hands!!!

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Comment:
Quiet, speedy in artificial benchmarks. Runs Cool. Makes no noise at all. HERE's the biggie! What good is a quickly video card if it runs poorly in actual games? It runs SLOWER than my GTX260, with the same settings in Source games (TF2, and so on). SLOWER!Since the factor had a ten dollar rebate, I can\'t return it. In fact, the rebate company denied the rebate claiming that the card didn't qualify, which it clearly did on the form that newegg supplied. The rebate quantity given is an automated technique with no actual folks behind it. C2D OCed to three.2GHz on Asus P5B with 8GB of DDR2. Spent lots of time testing and retesting the card. Do your study. If you like high benchmarks, get this card. If you like to *actually play games*, appear elsewhere, like evga. This was my 1st gigabyte obtain (usually asus, evga). I will not make this mistake once more. Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer,Thank you for your comments. We apologize for your difficulty with your Gigabyte item. GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Comment:
the card itself is extremely very quiet and runs all of the games i at present have interest in (counterstrike, dirt two, formula 1 2010, WRC: FIA) on mid-high to high settings all around.card is the equivalent of an 8800gt when it was about three months old on the marketplace.outstanding looking card. fits just the very same as the 8800gt did in my coolermaster case. the value was a bit too substantially i really feel for the efficiency increase i acheived vs the 8800gt. I was basically expecting what you need to get out of the 1gb version of this card. overall the card was an excellent purchase and i will be in a position to run most games coming out in the next 3-five years at the incredibly least on medium settings. if you are on a spending budget get this card but if you can invest about 50-70 much more, get the 1gb version and you will be in heaven.

I recently got 2 GTX 260 and Sli'd them, Powerhouse eats every little thing i throw at them, then this tiger showed up. Fundamentally the same horsepower but in a single card and utilizes less wattage to run, also much less heat given off carrying out it too. It dosnt have the Gig of DDR5 memory. Ive O\C'd it to way past its factory O\C specks and it dosnt go over 55deg. esentially a beast with not a factor i can say negative about it. Ill get a second 1 mabye a 1 gig model and SLI them too. Oh yeah the CosmicEgg had them at my door next day by 5 pm!!!! Akk Hail the CosmicEGG,Coodos for UPS too!

Fantastic concept. I loved the thought of getting two fans on the card to improve cooling. 1 of the fans did not work. Right after extensive troubleshooting I sent it back defective and got an additional card. Very same factor.....similar fan. I'm not positive if I got a poor batch or if there had been other problems. Needless to say, I returned each and went with a various card. GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Comment:
Solid card that proforms well and stays cooler then my old ATI 4970.This is my first Nvidia card, always purchased ATI prior to, and I am impressed with it. The bang for the dollor is exceptional. The drivers are pretty great, though imho ATI does it greater in terms of changings settings. But once it's all setup it handles all the games I've thrown at it at 4xAA and 1920x1200. Some of the settings in the drivers are challenging to find or confusing. Not a major draw back as you usually only need to do it once. Also had to make my own monitor driver as the Nvidia drivers have a glitch that won't put Hanns-G monitors to sleep. Was fixed with an net search and a quick regedit. Appropriate now ATI and Nvidia are absolutely even. I've now owned each of their existing gen cards and honestly just choose the 1 that matches your spending budget and you'll be pleased.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Comment:
Rapidly specs, very good cost. When it worked, ran games genuinely rapidly, and wonderful edge detail on text. Awesome graphics top quality from the 460. A little over a month, and this card is overheating, bad. That is with both fans running at full blast. Now, it won't even function, forced to run my older video card again, this card has cooked itself to death. When I pulled it out immediately after playing MW2 for less than 20 min, I had to let it cool for 10 min before I could touch it... it practically got "finger print remover" hot. The heatsink on this this card has some poor flaws. 1- The heatsink doesn't touch the ram. The common heatsink from NVidia design touches all the mofsets and the ram. 2-This heatsink only touches the gpu. They put some tiny, heatsink on the mofsets... but none on the ram chips... 3- I can't tell, but it appears these two fans put out much less CFM than the stock NVidia reference fan. GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Cons: Cooler both feels and looks a little plasticy and fragile. Definitely wasn't made to withstand a lot of abuse or reinstallations. Not a big issue as long as you just put it in and let it do it's job.Requires two 4pin PCI-E power connectors.Grester power consumption then the higher performance HD6870/HD5850.Vents almost all of the heat inside the case

Pros: Performance similar to the former high-end GTX280/285 with DX11. Terrific tesselation performance.Incredibly quietCUDA & PhysXTerrific overclockerVery reasonable pricing for the performance.A small token bump to stock GTX460 clocks.
Comment:
Overclocks to 845/1690/2320 at stock voltage. Middling core overclock, but a terrific memory overclock. Haven't pushed the core voltage yet to see much extra that will gain me.Idles at around 28° with one monitor attached, and around 33-34° with two connected. (Higher idle clocks with multi-monitor).Load temperatures of around 50° in game and around low 60's in Furmark. The quietest high performance graphics I've heard since the GF 6xxx era when coolers were much smaller then they are today. Dead silent up to around 70% fan speed, and only a bit audible and not at all obtrusive even at 100%.Even when under load the fan only needs to spin up to around 55% to keep the card nicely cooled. Absolutely stellar cooling, couldn't say enough positive.Excellent performance for the money with acceptable power consumption. (Though greater then that of faster ATi boards).Offers excellent tesslation performance which should hopefully make a difference long term.Only major cons are that it vents almost all the heat internally. CPU runs 2-3° hotter then with my old 8800GTS, and the HDD's in the front run nearly 4-5° hotter. This is true of pretty much all GTX460's, but it is a disappointment and the only real downside in what's otherwise a terrific cooling system. The cooler is also very cheap looking and feeling. Plain fragile black plastic that looks as though it could snap off or crack easily. Compared to the huge heavy metal massively overbuilt cooler on my old EVGA 8800GTS then comes across as cheap and flimsy. The entire card just seems cheap in comparison despite the clearly excellent performance. Despite the 8800GTS being over 4yrs old now I'd bet it has much better odds of still bein functional 10yrs from now. This isn't a any real concern though, it runs just find and is both quiet and remarkably cool and should be an excellent board for a couple yrs before I need to upgrade again but you have to be picky to find flaws with what is a fantastic price/performance card.Even at 1920x1200 at stock speeds the card is easily overkill for anything I care to run, overclocks well and does it all whilst being silent and quite cool, and offers a strong feature set. It's not perfect, but the GTX460 is a excellent card and this is a terrific example of it with an amazing cooler even by the already high standards the GTX460 sets.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Cons: Cooling does not direct exhaust

Pros: Decent midrange card for the cost
Comment:
Decent midrange card. Price matching takes a decent chunk out of the cost. The cooling does seem kind of odd with 2 fans, neither of which force any air out the back. Given it's a midrange card though, I don't expect too many heat issues.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Cons: - Heat (due to overclocking)

Pros: - Best performance card in the ~200 CAD segment- Design ( 2 fans )
Comment:
Part of a new build, got it on sale for 190 CAD. Overclockable out of the box using MSI Afterburner. Easily run 800 MHz Core and 2050 MHz Memory on stock voltage. Load temperature reaches ~75 degrees.High temperature likely to due cluttered case.Would be great running 2 of these in SLI.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Cons: None so far

Pros: 2 quiet fans, excellent performance for the price, comes overclocked out of the package.
Comment:
Purchased the card as part of a new build and it runs many recent games such as Starcraft 2 and Battlefield Badcompany 2 perfectly on max settings even at stock settings. When under load the temperatures remain around 62 degrees celsius and when idle is around 35 degrees(varies depending on ambient temperature). Noise levels are important and this card remains one of the most quiet cards I have used even with 2 fans.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GV-N460OC-768I Video Card
Cons: - Very big card- Needs 2 pci-e cable- The hmdi port is too much on the edge. I have difficulties plugging everything in (1 hdmi + 2 dvi)

Pros: - Exceed my expectations. I bought it for Starcraft 2 and I run it at max settings (Ultra)- Very quiet- Low temperature (Idle at 45oC, in game at 56 oC)- Stable, has not crashed yet
Comment:
Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, my only worry is if I would have enough space to plug 3 monitors :S
