Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
The most significant pro about this card is that it is 65 dollars and supports DX11...other pros is that there are no other connectors from ur PSU essential.. so this can be run on a low voltage PSU.I havent pushed it difficult on any graphically intensive games but, but Civ five, Starcraft 2 and fallout 3 all run fantastic (Fallout 3 looks great due to the fact it is an older gameƝ various ports. DVI, VGA, HDMI Fantastic! none whatsoever.. get rid of your onboard graphics on your old system or throw it in a new spending budget gamer computer.. I assume you will be satisfied regardless.

Applied this card for my htpc construct. It operates wonderful on my LG 42" Plasma 720p television. The resolution is low enough where it won't or shouldn't tension the card and so far it shows. It plays every little thing wonderfully on the television by way of the hdmi cable. .... This is a most great card to use for a nice cheap htpc build.

•Cheap•Built-in HDMI•Works fine on Linux and Wine•Dual Screen was straightforward •None so far I purchased this card to put in my Arch program as a replacement for my x1950 pro. The card operates wonderful. I tweaked my settings in and got my dual heads setup. I haven't actually place it to the test with any new games but it will run HL2 via wine with high settings just fine.

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
This card is a very good update for most PCIE ready PCs. It is the lowest end entry level Fermi card of Nvidia's newest line up. It runs fantastic on low power, can run medium to high settings in a lot of games, even DX 11 titles. Excellent for planet of warcraft, if you don't want to get an costly card as a wow player. This card is a slight overall performance upgrade to a Geforce 9500 GT series card. If you are expecting any sort of rebate, prepare to be disappointed. They do not tell you that you have to print the rebate from the newegg internet site in order to claim it. For these of you with out printer access, you won't be in a position to claim any sort of rebate. Nevertheless, there is no cons with the card. It runs quiet and stays cool, plays the games I want it to play. Wow - very good settings with water effects on ultra. Vindictus on max settings. Each games hover at 60 fps+ without any difficulties. I would purchase one more one of these in the future for anyone who is undertaking basic gaming or video editing.

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
This card installed very easily with the most recent driver from the Galaxy web page, and so far, runs perfectly. It runs the ARMA II game on ultra-high settings really nicely, and the graphics facts are stunning. Contrary to what I have read elsewhere, the cooling fan is not loud at all, and is barely noticeable. That huge fan and cooling fins should preserve it fairly cool. Not a flutter of a difficulty so far. It is running on a Core 2 Duo machine below Win XP Pro, and was recognized instantly. None genuinely, that I have discovered. This card truly beats the Sapphire Radeon 4350 card it replaced due to it's failure after just a handful of days. The Galaxy card expense me about ฤ additional, but seems nicely worth it.

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
It operates and runs game at decent settings. Do not hear this card at all. I went from a 256MB 8600 GTS to this card thinking it would be a noticeable improvement. In reality it's only a slight one particular. The lack of DDR5 seems to hamper this card in relation to other cards with related clocking speeds and memory size. For ็ I'm not going to complain that substantially. I can play Dragon Age II on medium with the anti-aliasing and anisotropic maxed, and it can nearly play the game on high settings. DX 11 assistance is nice as properly. Also, make confident you go into the Nvidia settings tool and adjust it from it's defaults. You can get substantially much better performance out of the card such as increasing it's rendering rates and telling it regardless of whether to maximize overall performance for a single or several displays (multiple is the default).

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
This is employed in a moderate gaming method. This card is an upgrade from a quite old gt6800. Present system is now operating Intel Q6700 quad core, 450w psu, 4gb ram. The motherboard utilizes a pci e x16 1., and the card is 2.. It is backwards compatible for these who are concerned about that. The card runs flawlessly in the video department, graphics on DA origins runs on highest settings, older games like Titan quest also run nicely. HDMI connected to the tv ouputs perfect audio and video. The card was on sale for ๋, แ after rebate, which you cant argue with. At that cost, it is worth the performance for an average gaming/htpc. This is a strange issue that I had, and I have located other folks who are possessing this situation as effectively. When I installed the card, I upgraded to invidia's driver version 260.99, which also has a set of nvidia hd audio drivers. There are now 4 sets of these drivers attempting to run and it appears that it has interfered with the on board intel sound. Occasionally the games will load with skipping audio and/or echoing audio, and at instances slow motion videos. So far, disabling the nvidia hd audio drivers has fixed the concern. So, it seriously does not appear to be the card, just the sound drivers. For this purpose, I am giving the card itself 5 eggs.

Wasn't expecting significantly, but truly it is a decent card. Lots of memory, wish it was 256 bit interface. I see some artifacts with Nvidia's latest driver 266.58 occassionally. Possibly the memory is clocked too quickly? Drivers from cd worked fine. (Ver. 81)

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
Smooth playback of HD video through Mythtv working with VDPAU and most up-to-date Nvidia driver.Fan is reasonably quiet when idle. Fan noise picks up when processes are running that use the video acceleration. The fan noise bothered me since my case doesn't insulate any noise. I am sensitive to fan noise, so it could not bother everybody.I ended up replacing the stock heatsink with an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 (which is INCOMPATIBLE with this card!!). I made the Accelero fit the PCI slot making use of a dremel to cut off some cooling fins, and working with the plastic spacers from the old heatsink to get the Accelero heatsink to sit on the GPU appropriately. Also attached a low speed 120mm fan to the Accelero heatsink making use of zip ties. Not the best card for a HTPC due to noise, but my jerry-rigged replacement heatsink is quiet and keeps GPU temperature at 25C idle and 34C when playing back HD video.

Runs at least two.5x quicker then my previous card.Has HDMI VGA and DVI creating for excellent range of display connections. Can play HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Disk.Overclocks fairly properly 800񳈰묜 from 700񳅨몸.Runs all my games as i hoped it would, possibly far better. Range of connections also suggests no single card dual display. Is bottlenecked by my CPU (AMD Phenom X3 8400 2.1ghz)But that's not the cards fault.Didn't come with a far better pc to use it properly XD lol.Cant be SLI'd? Wasn't expecting it to remain so cool in my HPa6430f Case,Installing it was a breeze, all my games conserve for a couple of run maxed.Ran on my OEM PSU with no hassle and no sign of failure/Underpower.Technique, HP a6430f with AMD Phenom X3 8400 2.1ghz, 3gb DDR2-667, dual 320GB Samsung HDD's, 1 DVD/CD-RW Reader/Burner. multible USB Devices plugged in at all times. My recommendation? If you are coming from 8400GS, or one more low end card, Its worth the money, Definately.Would purchase it once more if given the selection (and had the cash)Also, PS, I like the coloring ɇ

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card

This card did not let me down at all. I installed it, rebooted by pc, and plugged in my brand new ASUS monitor. Within minutes, I had installed NVIDIA drivers from their site and ran their really handy graphical tool to setup my graphics settings. I'm using Ubuntu ten.10. The card came with its installation files on a disk for Windows. I'm confident that setting it up windows is just as uncomplicated as setting it up on Ubuntu, if not easier. This card has a lot of memory and has a extremely decent graphics processor. It supports all of the desktop effects that my former card couldn't, and it's really fast at it, too. It has a tiny silent fan. . . I haven't noticed it becoming noisy, and I doubt I will. I'm quite pleased with this item. None

Galaxy GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 43GGS8HX3SPZ Video Card
Comment:
Low price for a solid card. Quiet for a regular desktop and perfectly acceptable... but not silent (for some of you who have crazy standards and want absolute silence at 10 feet). Has DVI, VGA, and HDMI... all for around โ when the price tag/rebates line up!Scored five.9 on Graphics and five.5 on Gaming Graphics in the Windows Experience Index... installed on a x16 PCI Express slot (not PCI Express two.) although that shouldn't matter at this point because the 2. spec is still giving overhead cards don't but use.No further power required for the card! Runs wonderful off of the bus power alone. Drivers shipped aren't most recent and necessary a bit of effort to install proper. Replaced a 7800GT with this card so I uninstalled the drivers for the 7800GT and powered down. Swapped cards, booted up... Windows froze when loading the user account. Booted in secure mode fine, installed the newest drivers from Galaxy's website (which truly just pulled from NVidia's FTP space) and rebooted. Windows loaded fine at that point and I set the resolution to a higher level. Upon 1st reboot although, resolution dropped back to lowest doable... reset it once more and it stuck from that point on out.The 7800GT this replaced scored greater on the Windows Knowledge index for the Gaming Graphics at five.7... but this card is theoretically superior based on tests performed by other people. I would guess that difference stems from the fact that this card is only 128bit compared to the 7800GT's 256bit nature. Also could be that the five.9 they tied at for Graphics score was truly unique but Vista maxes at five.9. Solid card for the price tag. Galaxy Tech is a manufacturer for other organizations... They make the cards and other people slap their stickers more than Galaxy's logo. So this card has a solid make good quality and runs as I'd anticipate a name-brand card to run. I'd gladly acquire from them once again!

Amazing physx card. Have not game'd to much on it as i have 470 running the graphics but it holds its own againts the cards of yester year particularly the 8x00 and mid 9x00 gpu's. Fan is near silent and not noticable with the 470 in there. Not the ideal for gaming. Replaced a 240 1gb and has substantially less memory bandwidth due to slower gddr even so is countered with quicker cores, so kinda balances itself out but not really. If for example you presently have a 8600 or equivilent get this level of card specifically if you are on a spending budget this will give acces to Dx11 and surpass those cards skills by far. I would be so bold as to say it comes close to the 8800gt series in "general" performance. The most usefull feature for me would be running physx; so unless you are on a budget and need to have to upgrade or just have an old or original power supply, as it only demands 300w drawing about 50w itself, its a good purchase.

DDR3 rather then DDR2 on some of these 430s. Also, its a full 128 bit memory bus, rather then 64-bit. Runs League of Legends 60+ FPS, aswell as Crysis 2 Demo on Advanced with a minimum of 30 fps. Also does computations far far better then I expected for a card of this cost. Not a high finish card, but significantly far better then most cards in this value range. Not Low Profile compatable. I'm also alittle worried about the longevity of the HSF, it looks cheesy, but it is quiet. One of the much better 430s, for a great price.

Cheap, quiet, decent efficiency. 1GB RAM.Video card mfg suggested a energy provide > 300W. The pc is an HP p6710f with 250W, and it functions fine so far. Just a decent card. Not DDR5 memory. I bought this for my wife's laptop or computer. Compared to my own Gigabyte GT 240 512MB DDR5 (#N82E16814125304) card, this card has a faster "core clock" and "shader clock," 1GB DDR3 rather of 512MB DDR5, but also supports DirectX 11.. So I figured this card would do far better. WRONG! Playing the very same game on my wife's laptop or computer, the automatic 3D settings are set to mostly "medium" rather of "high." Cost-wise, the GT240 is about the exact same.... I should have gotten the GT240.

Works as advertised. I see no differences between this card and the 9600gt it replaced. I didn't give it a 5 only because of the Mail In Rebate. Boo! Hiss. The Mail in Rebate is an American Express Prepaid Reward Card. I ABHORE rebate cards and think about them a scam in ALL instances. It is NOT the very same as cash because you have to either obtain something that costs additional or cannot use the distinction if it's much less. In either case it's successfully a lot more income out of your pocket.

Great for minor gaming and htcp. Quiet. Stays cool (never additional than 35-40c at full load and fan at 52%). Audio thru hdmi. none. Must have spent a couple of much more dollars for an additional boost in gaming efficiency. This card does support run most of my games at about 50-60 fps on high. Probably much more if I upgraded my cpu.
