Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Z97 DDR3 PCI-E16 PCI-E8 XFIRE/SLI SATA3 USB3 HDMI Motherboard
Cons:- If you have a big cooler (I have a Coolermaster EVO 212, for example) you won't be able to fit RAM in the slot nearest the processor without taking off the heatsink. If your RAM is the kind with the cooling fin on it, it won't fit in that slot period. .... so I would make sure the RAM will fit before you buy if you plan on using all 4 slots with a big CPU cooler. - the green PCB of my wifi card DOESN'T MATCH THE BLACK PCB OF THIS BOARD. OUTRAGE :P

Pros:- Seems very well built and sturdy, with good caps etc. Actually kind of feels like you could smack someone with it and it'd be A-OK- BIOS has many features, especially if you overclock and all that jazz, and has a couple of UI modes depending on if you like a more modern style or your regular kind- Looks sharp- I recently had to RMA a previous Gigabyte motherboard I owned and they were fast and easy to deal with. Was not a failure of the motherboard, for the record- Easy to flash BIOS- Good sound, no interference that I can detect.- Plenty of USB 3
Comment:
Great board. Many features, great price. If you're gonna do a 4th gen. Intel build, get this. 5th gen compatible too so a bit of future proofing there (who changes their processor every year?)Features in the BIOS are straight forward and easy to use.

Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Z97 DDR3 PCI-E16 PCI-E8 XFIRE/SLI SATA3 USB3 HDMI Motherboard
Cons:heatsinks seems loose, seems to have less features than normal.

Pros:price, decent quality overall.
Comment:
It's a decent board, however I was happier with my older Gigabyte z77x ud3h which seemed to have more features for it's time than this does. That board had an onboard power button that lit up and also an LED debug display and was around the same price and this board doesn't have any of that and has heatsinks that seem flimsy. It seems that gigabyte itsn't taking as much pride in their UD3H boards as they once did. They were once considered by many to be the best choice for gamers. This is a decent board though. My i7 4790k runs just fine, temps seem ok and I haven't had any issues.

Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Z97 DDR3 PCI-E16 PCI-E8 XFIRE/SLI SATA3 USB3 HDMI Motherboard
Cons:Would have preferred a couple more SATA ports

Pros:Stable, well specified and designed.
Comment:
Together with the new i7 4790 cpu, this formed the basis of my new PC. Booting from 480Gb Seagate 600 SSD, it boots quickly into Win7 Pro. Appears to be easily over-clock able, although I will wait a while before doing this. Intuitive UEFI bios very simple to configure. Gigabyte's utilities also allow for many of the bios functions to be changed from within the OS, which is handy.I would have like another 2 SATA ports and the new rig had to abandon one of my HDD's. Another feature desired but not included is press-button reset on the mobo and a led display showing status (common with ASUS)I tend to keep my rigs for up to 7 years, so the quality of components is important. Gigabyte always lives up to their claims in this respect.
