Got this card for a good deal and I recommend it as a mid-level card. Runs cool and quiet although fan at 60% or higher speed is noticeable. However, fan profile is usually running it much lower. There have been criticisms of the card overheating due to poor fan profiles but I haven't seen this. I've run Furmark on the card and it maxes out at 68C. You can always crank up the fan manually. In my rig it scores 19876DP 3DMark Vantage. So far, all my games are maxed out quality with smooth frame rates. This is the sweet spot right now for budget gaming rigs, IMO. |
Bought impulsively when this was on sale for 149. Added this to an HTPC so I could do some gaming. The install was a breeze! (just make sure you have a decent sized case and a power supply to support it). Software was effortless as well. I was up and running in minutes. My PC was already pretty quiet and after adding this I can't hear any difference at all so it's definitely quiet. So far this handles anything I throw at it with max settings. Very happy with my purchase.
