Ordered for out of state buddy as a gift, so unable to give my rating, other than in the middle, as was not high priced item. My rating is in the middle, as I ordered this item for out of state buddy, so I did NOT actually get it myself. Maybe there must be an Location/Box for gifts given, when person ordering does NOT actually acquire the item ordered.

Excellent for older tech machines, Superior GREEN energy savings. Built a desktop net laptop or computer for a relative that isn't also tech savy. This was the great icing for the cake. If you have new tech and don't have VGA port on your machine appear elsewhere. I built a spare parts machine with components of older computers I had. Ended up with a AGP video card with VGA ports. I was getting trouble discovering a monitor (not CRT) with VGA access. This 1 rocks! Sleek appear, excellent resolution for the size, built-in speakers, and if I had been to develop a lot more non-Blu-Ray machines this would be the monitor of alternative! Great value point as properly!

Sleek,sturdy,effortless setup,ideal size for a usual Pc setup on a desk,came with all power/vga/speaker cords,software program/instructions,and all shiny parts/screen were protected with plastic film.Nice clean picture with a great full set of onscreen adjustments that are written out,instead of making use of those stupid symbols that some monitors have to adjust the screen. I was disappointed with the way it was shipped.It came shipped in original box(instead of inside a bigger a single) with the opening flap not even taped shut.Thankfully nothing was missing or damaged. I've constantly had a crt monitor so this is my initial flatscreen.I'm true pleased with it and newegg shipped it promptly to me as promised,for No cost!At ๠,I really feel this was an outstanding bargain and I'll be back to newegg for a lot more excellent values in the future for sure.Thanks substantially.

just superb deal, perfectly fit on the deck, saved space... speakers a litle bit weak, but, it's not a Television great I purchased it... my wife is pleased with it.

Fantastic get for the price tag and capabilities. Not a SINGLE dead pixel, nope not one particular. VGA only, limited resolution, can appear a small 'fuzzy' in the middle. General, excellent acquire, you genuinely can not go wrong.With regards to 'fuzzy' look, Windows 7 resolution is okay, Ubuntu does a greater job offering the image. Could be a driver concern, surprise!

It's compact but wide enough to enjoy films and video games. The built in speakers are fair for their built in structure, the vga and power cord cables and manual came included. The black glossy finish is superb... Oh yeah and it's 18.five size makes it appear like a 19 inch. As usual, NewEgg delivers promptly! I wish models like this one would come with a remote, but for the value of just 贄 dollars I can't complain. I just wish NewEgg would carefully edit and eliminate those reviews from individuals who have not received nor inspected this item as it only creates confusion with those individuals wanting an honest assessment.

Great resolution, excellent cost. Amazing power settings. It is well worth it. The widescreen makes it a steal. Screen snobs would whine about size, but actually it is rather significant, particularly for the cost. None that I can think of.

Nicely packaged and protected.No dead pixels.Tilt adjustment range is adequate. Monitor is physically crooked: 1ǚ - 1ǘ of an inch lower on the left than the ideal;yes, it's noticeable; no it can't be adjusted to right it other than placing an object under the left side. Only adjustment is tilt - doesn't swivel. VGA cable is quite loose connection to my video - the screws won't engage (fits appropriately on the monitor although); had to wedge the cable against the shelf to keep it snug). Knew it was VGA only but the display of text on this is extremely quite substandard - looks like parts of letters are missing from the graininess - got a headache just scrolling through the user manual; adjustment by way of on-board menu and display properties didn't assist. This was purchased for a laptop or computer mainly applied to view/create documents (not video) so text display is a key problem in this case. Win vista or 7 drivers only - no win xp (not even on their web page). Does perform with default win xp driver but possibly portion of the text display issue is associated to this but unable to decide. Small awkward to install the base to the monitor (attached by way of an inset screw through the bottom of the base into the support arm of the monitor) - nice design on the screw for tool-less install. My other VGA monitors did a considerably better job on text - I'm going back to the 6 year old smaller screen size competitor LCD this was supposed to replace. This is my very first Hanns-G experience and I'm not impressed - it will likely also be my last.

Rapidly shipping good high quality at initially built in speaker A couple months into ownership the screen begins altering the color intensity pretty much seeking like maybe the backlight is going out simply because it will go darker then lighter

It met all of my expectations as far as specifications and it came with all the cables and ports that I expected it to and it looks great and has a very good picture. The only factor I don't like about it is the phase. I was searching for a very sharp image but it is never excellent because the phase on different parts of the monitor is various, so it's nearly like those sections are out of focus. There is a function to automatically detect the very best settings, but it wasn't in a position to get the phase just suitable. Soon after playing with it for a while I've gotten it so that it isn't noticeable, so it is fine now. I would acquire this monitor once again if I necessary a different mainly because I am willing to play with the settings, particularly given that it has such a fantastic cost.

This monitor fits perfectly in the tiny region of my desk giving just a half inch on each and every side and best of the monitor as clearance. The speakers can be a little weak if you are 'deaf' or are much more than 10ft away, but if you have decent hearing they can be far more than load enough even at 70% volume. The monitor shipped with no any additional packaging unlike the laptop or computer that it was also shipped with and there was a small rip in the front of the box that got me a little scared because the screen faced outwards towards the hole. However, there was no harm completed to the unit. I was seeking for a smaller monitor to fit the reasonably small space I had to location a monitor. This unit has significantly performed it's job and I am pleasantly shocked that the built-in speakers are a decent as they are due to the fact I have always had complications with built-in speakers in the past. This is my initially encounter with Hanns-G and I will advocate this brand to others. The only reason I have given fourǛ stars was due to the poor shipping high quality, but since there was no damage accomplished to the unit I am not angry at all.

Superb affordable monitor. I doubled my desktop size, and it's super fun playing Microsoft's flight simulator with dual monitors. Yeehah ! :) No cons other than the truth that the DVI to VGA adapter I ordered at the exact same time was shipped from Really far away and still hasn't come in. I ended up going to a nearby personal computer shop to get the adapter so I can use the monitor which came in Really promptly. This was only the second time I ordered from Newegg. I got the monitor 2 days immediately after I ordered it which is Amazing.

cost paid ဃ.99$),16ɍ widescreen,extremely bright,5ms response time,no dead pixels,mine has quite minimal backlight bleed,good shiny black bezel,good led power light. vga only,annoying stickers on bezel,black bezel is fingerprint magnet and will probably be a dust magnet as nicely,monitor wobbles simply. these are quite minor cons to me taking into consideration the pros. i replaced a dell 17" lcd (񕷘fpt) fro 2005 which had horrible backlight bleed and was not as bright or vivid and had worse viewing angles than this 18.5" hanns-g monitor. i use this to play a couple of games and have noticed no ghosting and normal def dvds appear good also. going from a fourɇ to 16ɍ will take some getting use to.

It works.Speakers are reasonably audible. The screen can be a small modest, make sure you check the dimensions meticulously and measure it out for yourself so you can see it, then choose if you want this.I also didn't check for the ports. This has no HDMI or DVI port. 15-pin only. It may have mentioned that in the specs, but just in case you had been careless like I was, maintain that in mind. Overall, I can't say it's a poor monitor. The stand is sorta wonky, and makes an annoying sound when you try to adjust it.

so i have just recieved this in the mail, it is definitely nice for the price you cant beat it especially with built in speakers, hooked up correct out of box, no dead pixels but!would extremely advise. the speakers could be just a tad bit louder would advise for starter gamer or computer monitor really nice and widescreen to...the cause for four is since of the poor quality of speakers, i like my music blaring lol...extremely nice setup and monitor

Nice monitor. Purchased on sale a week ago... High color, bright, simple to see particulars as a VGA ONLY monitor. Speakers work nicely, tilt adjustment is good. It's even wall mountable... Does NOT come with a energy chord! Was really lucky I've been a geek for so quite a few years to have many laying around...

This is an awesome LCD monitor. I got this monitor when it was a truly terrific cost, definately scored on this monitor. If you're searching for the most bang for your buck, this monitor is the genuine deal. Not a CON. I knew when I was getting it, but it's suggested display is 1366 x 768.

This is a wonderful monitor. Settings needed no adjustment out of the box. The color is remarkable, and it's so large! I think it'd be hard to beat this good quality for the cost. AND it's High Definition capable! Far more than I expected for the money!If you want a wonderful monitor that has excellent size and image for a really very good price, this is it right here. I can't wait to play video games on it! None. I noticed some of the comments complained that it was VGA hookup only or that it was too modest ྲ.five inches = small?!) or that the speakers sucked, but these appear like frivolous points to be bothered by. If you want one thing with all the bells and whistles, spend (A LOT) a lot more income.As for things that are DOA, it appears redundant to give some thing a poor review for that. When you sell a huge number of goods, chances are that some of them are going to be defective of get damaged in shipping.

Just fantastic monitor for such price. Works wonderful. Argonomicly feets to deck. My wife really like it. Quite weak spickers, but, nobody obtain as a Tv. It's even superior to save space as I removed speakers out.

it works, low-cost price came with a vga cable, not able to use something else but the vga cable you get what you paid for, it works, it turned out much better then i thought it would be. nonetheless don't expect significantly for the price. very good value for the money
