I mean this factor goes weight 24lbs and it has a pretty tiny hinge... but on a solid desk it's not really a real problem. I am extremely satisfied with this monitor. on my old 22" monitor I had the brightness and contrast to 100% (Since day 1), this issues rated brightness and contrast is additional than double and it's nice that I can turn it DOWN to get the ideal level. Indicates its a lot much more future proof than some thing that comes dimm from the factory. I'm planning on getting this factor for at least 5 years and so far it seems like it really should be able to do the job properly.

Nice monitor very low-cost cost but not quality, I had no missing pixels no fading so far, big screen if your on a spending budget or just trying to save money this is the 1 for you. A little wobble if you kick your desk. Unless your willing to devote a thousand dollars then this is the 1 for you. The only distinction among this and a 񘈨 dollar 1 is the stand and this probably has less connections but you can often get adapters.

Speed, color, and contrast great (though not a gamer, so can't speak to that type of responsiveness), and the cost/perf and cost-for-size is fantastic.I have a triple-headed program using the HH version ƒ HDMI outputs) -- this model sits on my laptop (wanted yet another HH but couldn't locate one).I've long had large monitors ྵ" Nokia and Sun multi-headed since 1994), and I'm quite content with these HannsG's. Stand's location just a little shaky -- not as solid as other producers', I assume because other people have the center of gravity just slightly forward of the stand's center, so balance seems much better. !!RUSKY!! -- The HZ arrived with the left/right half-dull-contrast issue. Extensive troubleshooting (switched systems, cables, and monitors -- with HH version) solidly showed the HZ to be the problem. Spoke with HannsG support, and haggled on return shipping, insisting a 3-day-old monitor is _their_ issue, and he finally agreed on threat of full return. four days later, UPS pre-paid arrived, 3 days later an e-mail stating arrival and the dilemma verified, and 3 days later a new HZ model arrived, and no dilemma due to the fact.Even though waiting, I followed yet another feedback that stated SyncMaster was ***WAY*** superior (stand and sharpness), so I got the proferred model (I have a 7 yr old 24" SyncMaster that expense me 񘐜, and am content with it, tho produces heat). Yes, stand was greater, but side-by-side showed no superior color. Precise icon image sharpness was greater -- but only simply because they're bigger as it turns out it was 1920x1080; not correct WUXGA!

i went from a 22 inch samsung lcd to this and i was genuinely amazed on the good quality of the picture vs my samsung. out of the box, almost everything was straight forward and i got it running under 5 minutes. watching video or playing game on this is wonderful! the stand is a little woobly. the buttons for setting is on the bottom and is kind of challenging to adjust, but i got used to it. the power light is green, wanted it to be blue :( for the price it is an wonderful deal! let just see how lengthy this will last

Incredible!! 1080p, 3 inputs, Built in speakers(if u need to have them), Image Excellent is stunning. At initial I had deemed a HDTV but I am incredibly pleased that I didn't. Watching Across the Universe on this was stunning. only 1 HDMI... if ur working with it for what it is okay but this screen would have been perfect for a small property theater if u could plug additional factors into it but I nonetheless appreciate it and will acquire a second when I get SLI set up

Every thing! (Well, practically.) The size is brilliant. The resolution is essentially quite optimal. If you measure purchases like I do, you will agree that this size paired with res is the sweet spot of monitors. Largest size you can get for the funds, essentially.1200p is ideal for just about every little thing, which includes watching movies. It gives you that wonderful "next-gen" feeling. =)I do not use the built-in speakers. And they're possibly crummy. So graciously Hanns G opted for placing the grills below the bottom bezel. Gives it an more than-all cleaner appear. Props for that.I think quite a few men and women underestimate the distance from which they sit to the monitor. Coincidently my eyes are almost 28" from a centered spot roughly four" below the bottom of the top bezel. To me this is an aesthetically comfy viewing position which permits me to focus on the upper portion of the screen. Or, since I tilt my head down at some angle naturally my eyes really end up in the middle of the screen. Perf The monitor is slightly wobbly, but this could be fixed by mounting the monitor to the wall. Search the Bay for inexpensive wall mounts manufactured and shipped to you directly from the Far East.Or I could just invest in a much more sturdy desk made out of hardwood.Other than that, completely nothing.Nicely, maybe the brightness is a little eye-scorching, but that's all. I'm sorry you missed purchasing this monitor, if it ever comes back in stock be sure to snap it up before it promptly sales out again. Each time I get a monitor from newegg that was manufactured by HANNS-G it has either stuck or dead pixels, or a mixture of the two -- definitely ridiculous. After going 3 for 3 with issues, I blame it totally on HANNS-G and will never even appear at one more offering from them. If you go to their web site, they even have a "pixel policy" -- that ought to have told me the form of quality they generate. Even understanding it's a large monitor in your mind, it's nonetheless a shock to see it sitting on a desk. And with 16ᚲ, you can truly see the difference in actual estate from a 16ɍ at that size. Great response time, vivid colors. Unless you want to use it as a tanning bed, turn the brightness down. And while it has a DVI input, the included cable is DVI-HDMI. Neither of these are truly cons but just one thing to notice. Props to Newegg as often for shipping this out rapidly. LCD panel technologies is solid sufficient that you can go for a less costly brand and get a wonderful monitor. Cease squinting at your present modest screen and get one of these. Your eyes will thank you.

I have the previous model of the exact same size. If this performs as nicely as it then there is nothing better for the price or more than it. Mine is three years old and has no dead pixels. The picture is till remarkable at 1080p. I run it at 1900 by 1200 and it is sharp. None Get this asap if you want to be amazed.

Large. Inexpensive. Extremely lightweight. Calibrates to pretty darned very good color. Mine has one dead pixel that mocks me, in the upper left of the screen. You truly can't beat this deal for the cash. Of course, the Hanns G isn't going to be as spectacular as other 28" screens costing 5 times its price, but don't be mistaken: it is a really nice monitor. It's also massive.

I've had the exact same monitor screen on the much more expensive stand for 23 months. No dead pixels, no issues have cropped up with near continuous use. I fail to turn it off as generally as not overnight. Some horizontal tearing with ATI 4890 and GTX 470 on GTA IV and other resource intensive video games. It decreases with greater video cards but is nonetheless there. Don't know if it's the cards or the monitor.Deepest blacks tend to be hard to distinquish.Overly bright but very easily adjustable.Speakers suck one thing awful.Price is about the very same as it was when I purchased it, perhaps ฮ less. I posted this update to ask if a future reviewer could measure from the surface the stand is placed on to the bottom of the screen (not the frame) so I can come across out if I can use this one with the HG-281DJB, which has a diverse stand but the similar screen.

ok, i recieved this monitor about a week and 3 days ago and it had a dead pixel in the quite left of the screen i went to chat with newegg cs, followed directions for rma and had a brand new monitor with no extra charge in a little more than a week and this one looks flawless, picture is fantastic and im am sooooo loving it. none due to the fact this new one, cs was on point and couldnt ask for far more. extremely recommend this product and at such an amazing price. thanks newegg...constantly the ideal :)

The same jump in resolution and "how very good it looks" from 1920x720 to 1920x1080 is the exact same difference from 1920x1080 to 1920x1200. These monitors look that much much better. I have 3 in "Eyefinity" mode and this mode, the HZ281HPB has the control buttons on the bottom which is SO A lot far better for eyefinity. I have the two side monitors bezel behind the middle monitor so my blacked out location is only the width of 1 bezel. This way it looks incredible. All pushed by 1 XFX 5850 BEꀔ񳂠 1.15v)!!! Video Games, handles everything fine :o) Of course i want yet another 5850 for far more frame-rates as I'm watching all my buddies "WOW" with large smiles checkin out my setup!! 1200res is superior than 1080res like 1080res is much better than 720res!!! try it!!! The prior model had the manage switches in the side but that is fixed with this HZ281HPB model. The stand on the prior model was Considerably better as these are kinda flimsy but id rather have a flimsy stand that works and an Wonderful MONITOR PICTURE then an...okay picture and a solid stand. I have three full-swivel wall mounts for them but i haven't decided exactly where i want them more than where i have them. I get annoyed now@ other monitors advertised as "FULL HD" soon after living with these. 1200res is much better than 1080res like 1080res is much better than 720res!!! try it!!! I have the last version (got my 1st in 9-2009) HG-281DPB and there wasn't and still isn't any dead pixels. The back-lighting is obtaining prominent on the edges when watching an all black screen or a movie with the best and bottom blacked out like a letterbox moxie but regular computing colors are fine. That's the Old version. The new version, I got two more nov2010 and the picture and lighting stays the very same if they haven't gotten far better from being on for these few months. This may possibly be a con only for me, My GF loves these monitors so a lot she's often taking 1 to watch in the bedroom cuz it lppks much better than her 36in "Old School" Sony Trinitron. Amazing and Big! Warning...you will by no means once again be satisfied with those miniscule 22 inch monitors. 1920x1200 resolution, not the inferior 1080 Tv resolution that perpetrators are trying to pass off as computer system monitors. I have had it given that October 2010, still working excellent.I second all the positives you see from the other reviews. Like other people have pointed out, the monitor can be a bit wobbly. It isnt that the stand is flimsy, it's just that the monitor is so tall and comparatively heavy for the single mounting point. My desk is on the second floor in the game room, so when youngsters are jumping about it makes the monitor wobble. My desk has a shelf that goes across, above the monitor. I was able to adjust the shelf so that is much less than an inch above the monitor. I attached a smaller block of wood to that shelf with double stick tape and pushed the monitor back until the top edge of the monitor rests against it. This prevents any wobble and hides the wood block. If you have a solid desk and floor or can uncover a way to steady the monitor by the best edge, then you will be OK. Tiny built in speakers, but I certainaly didnt buy it for the speakers. Nevertheless, they do function properly for what they are. Great if you want to hear one thing but dont want to turn on the whole sound system.

lets see.. umm perhaps 27.five" of actual estate? i came from a 19" dell.. and this thing(like im certain you've heard/read) is a fuggin BEAST. none but SIDE NOTE. when i did acquire this monitor, it came quickly, two days, BUT it had a Large red vertical line on it. filled out the RMA and newegg paid for return shipping and got me another monitor, not only does this one appear greater, it looks as if they opened it to test it just before they shipped it. This is my second assessment on this monitor, This is the second one I have purchased. This Model, HZ281HPB is a excellant monitor, specially for the funds. I have the Sapphire 5870 ATI, that pushes video signal to these Monitors and I am very pleased. The colors and blacks are very acceptable for a 1920 x 1200 resolution. I can honestly say I will purchase an additional one as soon as I have the funds. As you can see the reviews left from other people are positive, if you are searching for a terrific monitor at at a spending budget value look no further. Not sure why others reviewers are disappointed in this monitor? Keep in mind you can't compare this monitor to a 30" apple screen.... The default settings need to have to be adjusted, yes it is bright...read the other reviews. Newegg rocks...
