Popped out the 512k chip and popped two 1024mb chips into my Compaq Presario laptop runnning Vista. Startup speed and internet page loading speed was improved noticeablly. Will be upgrading two more Compaq Vista laptops I own next. Simple speed speed fix that should extend the life of these mzchines for many years.

Kingston still makes affordable products. I had a problem installing the chip because my eyes don't magnify as well anymore, so I took the machine and the RAM to my local store and the adult there installed the unit for me at no charge,
