Low cost. My theory of dust interference appears to be incorrect. It was fine for a while, but then got progressively worse till the machine would not even boot with 1 of these sticks in it. 5 months is a fairly quick lifespan for a lifetime guaranteed chip. Hardly worth an RMA at this price tag. The 1st time I've gone with Kingston in a even though, and it appears like it could have been a mistake. But warningheatsinks dont fit appropriate for this mem. Price is correct. Got mine for 12.99. Big distinction from the when i began developing pcs. none Bought 4 sticks for a new computer. Motherboard did not recognize the all four gig at initial. Required to set up with just one gig and then add the other three once xp was installed. Possibly just a firmware concern so I didn't put completed as a con.
