I got this unit for a recent low spec. build, and picked this one, over several others in the same price range, mainly because of the M-Disc compatibility. At this point I can't comment on how well it burns regular DVDs, or M-Discs, but it burned a bootable rescue CD without any problems. The only bad thing about this drive, so far, is that it's a bit louder than most DVD drives I've previously used, but it's not a deal breaker, i.e. the possibility to burn M-Discs outweighs the slightly elevated noise level. |

Ive got dozens of these OEM drives from NCIX over the years, always works perfectly. You dont get a fancy box with a bunch of useless manuals and stuff, just a dvd drive in bubble wrap, which its great. Performance is just as good as any dvd burner ive ever used, for $13 on sale its incredible. |

Buying OEM is a great way to save money for budget builds, for the most part you wont notice the slightest difference in performance between this OEM and the highest marked price DVDRW drive.This drive was used in a budget gaming build by request, DVD drives are of a dieing breed due to USB installation and downloadable drivers.A unbeatable deal for $16.69 after price match. However anything under $25.00 is still a great deal for a DVDRW Drive. |
