Comment:
It functions, and a good price tag. The SATA connectors are quite close together, I had to move my HDD and DVD drive as close as I could in my case, to power each. (So now my DVD drive is in the bottom bay, even although I only have on disk drive, slightly inconvenient) The very first power supply I received had undesirable SATA connectors (which there are only two of!) I sent it back, and received the subsequent unit which has worked ever considering that. (Thank you Newegg for being so understanding with incredibly slow USPS deliveries on RMA :D)I bought this as temporary energy until my next personal computer over the summer, where I program on purchasing a greater Watt provide.

Really Inexpensive PSU, if you are going for that gaming Computer and want that additional cash committed towards your GPU or CPU BUT THIS PSU! You can barely hear the fan and it is uncomplicated to install. Only has a single SATA energy cable. There are two connections on that a single line. If you are installing this into a Computer, make confident the HDD and the CD drive (if SATA) or any other SATA device are close to every other. Otherwise you will have to acquire a Molex-to-SATA adapter.

lots of connections, LOW Cost, huge fan built in, lots of power. i took the old PSU out, popped this a single in and fired it up. No hiccups, began right up. The unique power cords are incredibly long The two SATA connectors are really close together, so it is hard to impossible to power two pieces of SATA equipment that are far apart in the tower. Fan a small louder than i am utilized to, but it is still quiet to be so large, just a hum. really feel light and a little flimsy. comes with ZERO domumentation, so make confident you have an notion of what you are performing and what plugs into exactly where ahead of you try to use this 1 This one particular wouldnt fit into my IBM Thinkcentre case with out the fan becoming blocked! i had to turn the whole point upside down and figure out a way to attach it given that the screws wouldnt line up with it that way. i got it even though! went from 230 watts to 480 watts, although i am questioning if it is seriously just 330 watts...

Low-cost for 480W power provide One particular unit died on the second day and the second unit had over voltage (-5v = -6.19v) A waste of time and dollars!

Works fine. Inexpensive 480W supply. 120mm fan. Single rail style makes it straightforward to know if you have suitable power specs on იV leads. For multi-rail supplies, producers don't tell you which leads are connected to which rail. So if there are various Amp ratings on the distinct rails, you don't know with certainty if you are inside specs on every single rail. So you have to use the lowest rating for any single rail for all rails when calculating. This indicates wasted power and dollars simply because of needing to allow even additional head room. Single rail eliminates this situation. Label is upside down. ??? When mounted in situation the label ought to be ideal side up. Oops! Looks silly in a clear side panel case. Label states total combined power at 330W max 480W. Most power supplies state max power only. It is by no means a excellent idea to run a power provide for extended periods close to max output. The reviewer stating this is only a 330W power provide is not telling the whole story. You can't evaluate this power provide at 330W to a different that is rated at max power only. You must concider both nominal power and max power. If you aren't given nominal power then figure twoǙrds max as a ball park figure. Most drives, mbs etc are rated at max power anyway and don't list nominal power useage. You ought to add all the max power ratings for all installed devices and add 25%- 35% headroom to lessen power supply stress and increase worst situation technique stability. You really should also make positive the power is where you need to have it. Some mbs need better than 18A on the იV leads for example. This is also a single იV rail provide, which I favor over multi-rail since the single rail is easier to calculate suitable load dist.

This unit operates like it's supposed to. It is seriously quiet, runs cooler than other power provide, and lighter in weight. The two sata cable is as well close to each and every other. I can't use the other sata cable if a single is plug in to hard drive and the other to dvd drive. The sata cable is significantly superior off if they are separated to every single other.

Extremely Quiet, runs cool, enuff power for my Residence Grown HTPC. Incredibly spartan. Not a fairly PSU, power leads not "sleeved", but with some modification on my personal, that can be remedied. Just enuff SATA connectors and for the job. None. Very good value and with cost-free shipping, it was worth just about every penny. My HTPC parts had been all bought from Newegg. I did opt for an non-classic HTCP case from NewEgg, but I digress.

Inexpensive, Operates, Has all the proper connectors for my application. The grille on the fan is major (as is the fan) and can get in the way a tiny if your case has a shelf for the psu.

Required a cost powerful power provide for my house server. The watts per dollar is what got me. It has been running for two months straight with no complications. It's pushing a three.0GHZ Pentium four, DVD Burner, 2 IDE & two SATA HD's, CPU fan, and three case fans. Doesn't even break a sweat. Bottom fan is quite. Metal case is thin and flimsy. It's a bit much more solid as soon as installed and installed to the case. For the $, can't go incorrect.

It's low-cost. It is fine for a computer system that is not operating a high end video card. ATI 5770 XFX Card. This energy provide could not run my video card effectively. It also could not run my ATI 4850 XFX card correctly either. I ended up utilizing this in a server, and required some much more connections, so I simply spliced into the wiring. I noticed that the copper wiring is just not very thick on this a single. Difficult to explain, but it's nothing at all like a rocketfish 500 watt continuous energy supply.

It functions, it's cheap.120mm fan keeps quiet. The power supply is light like talked about ahead of, most most likely lower top quality parts/wires. A person talked about just before that the wires are short? The wires are not that brief, if I had to guess almost certainly a very good foot extended for the 20Ʋ and foot & half for all other individuals.

*Dirt Low-cost <ฤ*Lots of power*Low noise *A little light on the quantity of molex connectors. Not a key problem. I nomrally don't like to skimp on the PSU when constructing or upgrading a method, but dollars was a aspect for this project. I was concerned about the noise level from reading other critiques, but this PSU is pretty quiet. Just a low hum.

I've utilized a lot more then 50 of these power supplies and only had 1 or two come back as poor. Quiet 120mm fan pumps out lots of air, no require for case fan. From time to time you have to cut some corners on the case to accomodate the power plug housing. Dremels are good for that! Seems to function on 99% of desktops. Some custom builds might be a lot more demanding, but those rigs don't tend to blow power supplies!

Has powered an Athlon 64X2 4600 along with a Geforce 8600GT for 18 months with no any difficulty. Only a single 12v rail @ 16 amp, no PCI-E, no PFC protection - but that's all listed in the specifications. Cables aren't wrapped, it isn't quite, but it got the job done. Fantastic for low budget systems with couple of connectivity demands. Taking it out now to upgrade graphics card and get a power supply that has a PCI-E connector. General a wonderful value for what it is - and thus five eggs rating.

120mm fan Poor good quality fan Fan tends to make a grinding noise in all probability mainly because its bearings are shot, so it went suitable back in its box for a return. Get a better unit if reliability is of concern.

Inexpensive. Lightweight so that produced me wanna test it. It truly faired pretty good...I Hooked up 3 Seagate cheetah ྪK SCSI drives) to a single for a load and tested with a DMM...it was well inside limits on on voltages, in fact it was far better than an Antec 550 that I had as a reference. I purchased four additional as they seemed OK for desktop systems.I assume this is seriously a lot more like a 350-400 watt supply...so its a little overrated, so it got only 4 stars from me mainly because of that. Noticed a tiny a lot more ripple than I am commonly comfy with in the power provide three.3 and 5 volt lines on a couple of the ones I got when you initial power it on through my load tests on my o-scope with my heavy startup load, but following a few seconds it leveled off on all but 1. So they could cause some systems issues but so far none on the three systems I utilized them in. I just chunked the a single power supply that did not play nice and gutted it for the fan...following all the 120mm fan is a fairly nice a single. Functions nicely in a Gateway 3200S case. Has -5V which was dropped from the ATX spec...possibly a person nonetheless wants that, this 1 still has it if you want it.
