It gets the job carried out, turned a spare 15' LCD to a 2nd Monitor. And I don't know what these people with the FX5200 were saying, all I know is that it operates on my FX5200. Uhh, was on truck prepared for delivery at 8ᛆ, but didn't get right here till 2ᛆ. That's not Newegg's fault although, it got processed and shipped the identical day I ordered it... Make certain you know what kind of DVI you have ahead of ordering. I was lucky and had the correct kind but dont come right here complaining that you didn't make a smart option!

I referred to as a neighborhood laptop or computer store to see whether or not they had a single of these adapters. They did but their value was $xx! This was effortless to install. I've got it on the DVI connector on my GeForce4 Ti 4200 video card, to run a second CRT monitor, and it's operating fine. None The post from "Piece of junk", who stated, "The wide flat pin on the connector is too wide to fit standard DVI jacks." just doesn't make sense. I'm sure mine in normal, and it fits fine.

Helpful adapter. Operates with macbook Pro's to VGA. Have a bunch and all nevertheless working good. Initially a single came with bent pins but Newegg took care of me Fantastic Newegg service as usually. Ships rapidly and great customer service. A suggestion: Ship adpater with a plastic cover more than DVI pins.

As much excellent as an adapter can have, low signal loss and mounts securly to video card, and connected with monitor quite well. Did not pull the posts off video card when removing. Apparent con, makes for a tight space behind pc (duh) be ready to allocate an added 3 inches or so for the connectors to stick out. (pain of working with CRT w/ DVI connectors, get a LCD panel soon!) Its extremely nice to be able to purchase a board with twin DVI for future upgrading of LCD Panels, and be able to get a good high quality adapter for the meantime. For those out there with CRT's nonetheless, this is the way to go because LCD's are starting to get much better!

Operates. Clear sig. No degredation. Affordable. Thumbscrews are a little modest, but honestly, how generally will you put it on and take it off? Hardly a critical 'con'. Good if you have a vid card with 2 headers, and the card can extend the desktop across each (not just display the exact same issue). Most cards are capabile, esp. ATI.

Converts DVI to VGA. Affordable. Came with a few slightly bent pins. I could not get it to seat correct at initially. I had to straighten out some of the pins to get it to go on. Probabilities are I just got a negative one particular in a million... If you get one particular, make certain you don't force it on if it doesn't go. You'll make it worse. If it doesn't want to slide onto the DVI port, then take it off and check the pins.

Functions just like it should Fairly boring to appear at but who cares? As opposed to most of the rest of the reviewers I had the opposite issue - a new monitor with only DVI inputs and 4 systems connected by means of a four port KVM that only had a VGA output. I plugged the adapter onto the monitor's input, connected the VGA cable from the KVM and every little thing worked fine.
