I use a Linksys WRT600N Dual Band Router, 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I am on the 5GHz side on my laptop down stairs and receiving all 5 bars whereas at 2.4 I am lucky to get 3 bars. Speeds I am receiving is more than advertised, as I type this I just downloaded a program at 832kbps. I can also send faxes and print directly from my laptop without any hesitation. Wonder how much more speed I would get with the Wireless N ExpressCard. The laptop's built in wifi is G, so to get more range and speed I chose the USB adapter.

Decent adapter, but flimsy. Mine broke after one year ... the USB connector snapped off the circuit board inside the case. As with all USB wireless adapters, it sticks out quite far and is prone to being bumped etc. I will buy the ExpressCard one next time.

I spent seven hours trying to get this adapter working on an old Win 2k box with no joy. According to the adapter status dialog box, I was connected to the wireless router (three in fact). But I could not connect to the internet with any of them. I opened four calls to Linksys tech support without success. The forum at Linksys has other users with the same problem. I'm returning the adapter.

This is a fantastic wireless adapter. Works great, nice and fast, stable connection, even at a distance in the house. Works very well with Vista. I recomend using it with the corresponding Lynksys wireless router for maximum performance.

BUYER BEWARE: If you are running Vista DO NOT BUY this adapter! I bought two of these adapters and they would drop connection after 30 seconds, reconnect, then drop again 30 seconds later. Called tech support and was told nothing wrong with software/install, it was a problem with firmware. Exchanged it for second one, same problem. I advise you to purchase the Sabrient N adapter for 35 dollars, you'll save 33 dollars and it works perfectly! (Irony is I have a Linksys router).

This N ULTRA USB WIRELESS is great run fast my laptop before i can connect both neightbor internet then later on only can connect one now this usb wireless can connect both and it only show 3 signal bar still run fast some time it lost signal it show only 2 my wireless build in laptop alway show 3 signal bar but little slow and i don't know the neightbor that using G router or N any one out there get this N ULTRA USB WIRELESS its run fast if you have full signal its run fast as you never seen before

The unit came with a defective USB adapter. I called tech support and they were very helpful. They told me the error code ''1719'' meant the USB adapter hardware was bad. I took it back to where I bought it and got another one. That one was up and running in 5 minutes. I have windows Vista and the correct drivers for the adapter were on the enclosed CD. I have doubled the number of bars that my wireless conncection displays, from 1/3 of a bar to 3 full bars. The written instructions in the booklet were very easy to follow, as were the on-sreen instructions for installing the adapter

This is the best wireless adapter for wireless N hands down. I had it installed, drivers configured, and up and running in less then 15 minutes. No issues, and I live a large 3 level 6 bedroom house. I have strong connection from the basement (where I can watch NFL on big screen) and still work .... Strong connection (getting over 120 mbs + constant basis which is better then the 35 to 45 on wireless g) using a 160N router. Get it from TigerDirect.

to sept 9 2008. i did the same it went from 100mb/s to 130mb/s. but you need to take 1 more step.looking at the manual for my wrt310n i changed settings now the speed is 270mb/s,you are not using the dual band feature

The 600N works fine, and more consistently in my house than the 300N, of which I bought two. I replaced one with the 600N, because it kept dropping off. Inexplicably, the second 300N works great, and at a computer farther away from the Netgear router. The 600N is mounted for my HP laptop on an included stand on an end table in the living room. It works every time. There is a new feature for this adapter that allows for connecting it by the ''button method'' whereby one punches the ''lock'' button on the router and then connects the 600N adapter within 2 minutes. This results in a very strong connection, though not being a techie, I don't know why. Anyway, a good one, this. It works, as the other reviewer said. It usually connects at 250-300mb, and results in pretty fast downloads, depending on the source of the download.
