Easy to set up I suppose. This does not perform with windows 7, also demands drivers to be installed which can be a hassle.

compact, doesn't need to have a power brick. none the drive seemed a tiny loose when I installed it. cured that by putting in a little piece of foam on the finish of the drive just before slipping it into the case. The indicator light could be used as a night light. covered it with tape.

for the price tag, this is by far the cheapest external casing found in the market. Installation of the HDD was handful of uncomplicated actions: connecting the driver, poping it all in the case and screwing the side to hold it all together..Connecting the connection once more straightforward, runs right away for me with out working with the disc to install any driver's.. If your HDD requirements to be reformated is isnt since of the drivers that is included. its result in of the partition setting is not compatable to the setting on the laptop or computer I.E. NTFS partition NTFS external storage partition. the aluminum casing absores and transmits heat quickly, If you run your HDD challenging transfering massive files like i do it can speedily heat up and the case can run warm BUT NOT HOT! Even immediately after a handful of hours of file transfer..the front plate is created of plastic..i accidently screw to difficult and fractured the front..Not to worry can simply be fix with superglue and sanding down the access that dried from the side's. the usb2. wiring is abite short for me.. but its fine. they ought to add cooling gril or fin's on the side to let in good cooling air to the HDD for extended time use. and yeh maybe some soft thin foam, it wiggles and justles around in the casing.. i dont like the klinking noises that it produce's but it really not creating any harm's to the HDD

It looks Superior. I don't know how it works due to the fact I cant get it to function in Vista. Every time I Plug it in to my Vista box it Crashes each factor.It would be excellent if i could get it to Work. I expected it to really feel like a ฝ Drive but it feels more like a 贄+ Drive when you get the HDD in. Now if i can get it to perform.

inexpensive, it worked it slipped off my bed onto a thick carpet and now everytime i plug it in, i hear clicking. it was cheap to buy but it didnt last long in no way bought any internal portable encolsures, so i though it was all the exact same. there is no cushioning on the inside for the drive or anything just a metal casing. also only 2 screw to hold the drive. try a different firm in my opinion

Basic SATA connector. Self powered through dual USB cable. SUPPORTS S.M.A.R.T. passthrough!!! Initial external case I've applied that makes it possible for you to query or carry out S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics on the drive more than a USB connection. That's amazing. For that reason alone it rocks. None that I can tell thus far. If I had identified this thing supported S.M.A.R.T. I would have bought two. Gonna have to put an additional order in for another one.

n/a n/a i thought it wood be a superior by, but 2 HD's later and i am dun with it. and gave it a way for no cost. save your cash for one that dus not put bad sector or need to be formatt'd everytime i use it. thanks for your time.

Works terrific plug & play. put a 100 gig HDD in with vista on it.. ran drive wiper with CCleaner. worked flawlessly no screws for the left and correct sides of the enclosure.. kinda irratating i mean not i have to truly leave my residence to get some 50 cent screws to maintain my hDD from falling out LOL on yet another note i'll just use a piece of tape deff. worth the บ.. knocked out 1 egg for the missing screws

cheap affordable, screws don't screw in fully, utilizes non-standard A/A usb cable rather than the usual A/MiniB connector (better not shed the 1 supplied!). Plastic end-pieces holding drive in are doomed. Other enclosures at this price point also include an adapter jack for use with non-powered usb ports. There are better enclosures at this price point. I purchased an "icube" just before at this price that was nice but they're not here as of threeቹቦ. It's not worth sending back due to the fact it was low cost and will suit my needs (they won't ever be moved). Most of you will need to have to take 1 of these with you, in which case you want some thing sturdier and something that uses normal connections in case you leave your cable or want a longer/shorter 1 without getting to specially get 1. Also, Newegg is nonetheless the ***only game in town*** for tech purchases.

Included y cable. great transfer speed. comes with cool pouch and required drivers for legacy support ࿿,98,2000,NT) Instructions are poor but totally unnecessary. SHINY! I had a tiny issue with the screw but all i had to do was push the front in though i put the screw in.

Cheap and works low-cost material. you can feel the tricky drive is not secure even you tight the screws nicely.

Had this for 2 weeks now. Works excellent with a 500GB SATA drive, quick transfer rate. Works nicely with Windows 7. none so far

Straightforward to install my old laptop HD...It works. Blue light is annoying, but electrical tape fixed that.

Good not great quality, little LITTLE screws. Drive went into the enclosure with no issues, putting the case together was a pain with the LITTLE screws. Quality is OK as is the performance. Overall a very good value drive shell.

For $15 this item does the job. The cap that holds the disk in has little awkward screws and the drive rattles around inside the case. Not for a rough environment at all. A couple of peices of tape helped the rattling part, but if you want your drive to survive very long I would not bang this thing around much, it is not very robust.

Not a bad product for the price. it runs good with my laptop and stays cooler than previous enclosures i had. The hard drive does rattle around in the cast barely, but not enough to consider different product. mine didn't come with instructions, but is fairly straight forward and can make do without them. I liked it and just ordered another one.

Awesome product for your money, the only complaint I have is that if you move this enclosure around, the end of the hard drive hits the enclosure. you might have to put a piece of foam in the end of it to keep the hard drive from moving around. Other than that, I love it. It looks cool and easy to use.
