I love this fan. It is amazingly quiet. It has two connectors on the wire so that you can plug it directly into the power supply or into the motherboard. I recommend using the motherboard connection. This is a sweet fan. I highly recommend it.

This product gives expected performance--and my expectations are very high. It pleases. This is almost as good as the Zalman at half the price. Masscool does one better with ball bearings that are quiet--like some of their better CPU cooling fans. However, most auto fan control is arranged for 3000 RPM fans, and this fan is 2500 RPM, which could have someone believing that the fan cools less. That's not true. Its quite breezy and not loud. At 2/3rds speed, it puts out more air than an 80mm fan on full tilt. This is the exact fan I was looking for. I had an orange 80mm Masscool like this on the CPU of a server, and it still performs as new. Now that good chunky CPU coolers use 90mm fans, I wanted that same thing in this size. This is it, exactly. Hey, I'm back here to buy some more, and what does that mean? 5 stars. Thanks Tiger!

It's a very ineffective fan. At 2.16 watts it doesn't have the power to move much air and it doesn't. Maybe it could be used at an auxillary case fan.
