Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Some people may look at this and go "huh??"; takes a bit of mental adjustment, if you're used to standard keyboards

Pros:Super-comfortable typing, built-in wrist rest, all the extra-feature keys you'll ever want
Comment:
I love this keyboard!! I switched to one several years ago and have never looked back. Standard keyboards aren't designed for people. With their keys laid out in straight lines, you must bend your wrists inward to make your hands conform to them. Not so with the MS Natural Ergonomic 4000: Each hand comfortably rests on keys that are angled for that hand. The smoothly operating extra-wide spacebar compensates for the small amount of extra space between the keyboard sections. If you've never used a split keyboard, it may take you a day or so to get used to being able to hold your arms straight and naturally when you type.If you get wrist pain when you type—or if you just want to avoid it in the future—or if you're just tired of having to hunch your hands together to fit something that was never designed for a human, get one of these, and start enjoying using a PC!

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:it's large and a bit bulky - won't fit very well on small desk area

Pros:Great keyboard - excellent price for a well designed ergonomic keyboard - keeps up with speed typing
Comment:
I'll give it 4 out of 5 because of the size ...

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Large size takes up a lot of desktop space. Hard to get used to the wave shape. Difficult to touch type and reach all the keys unless you have large hands or long fingers.

Pros:he keyboard is ergonomically designed, yet it isn't too pricey. The keys are quiet and don't stick. I've got medium sized hands and I find it comfortable to use.
Comment:
First of all, the keys are quieter. None of the keys stick like that had before. So it has gotten a bit better. There are now more hotkeys than before

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:NOT SPILL PROOF!!!!!! NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST!!!!Letters wear off easier than most keyboardsNOT.. NOT... NOT "SPILL PROOF"

Pros:good layout, comfortable, proper arrows
Comment:
I do really like these keyboards...I've been using them for years at home and have one at work tooas mentioned in the cons they are in no way spill resistant let alone "Spill Proof"I spilled less than a tablespoon of (distilled) water near the spacebar and the zoom slider and it fried the keyboard had a newer one at work die the same way a couple years laterThe numbers wear off very easily on the heavily used keys. But that said now that the price has dropped below $35 they are a decent deal

Cons:none

Pros:really comfortablelooks great
Comment:
I've been using the orginal microsoft ergonomic keyboard for the last 7 years, and decided it was time for an upgrade. I"m sure glad I did. This keyboard is amazing. It's incredibly comfortable, especially with the faux leather wrist rest. The keys are responsive, and smooth when typing. Plus it looks great. The extra function keys are an added bonus. I"ve very happy with this product.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Near impossible to keep clean!!!

Pros:Good tactile feel.Comfortable. Doesn't cause as much fatigue to my wrists.
Comment:
I've had a couple of these keyboards, and I would keep buying them. They are comfortable, quiet, and easy to use. My only complaint is they are hard to keep clean! The black rubberized area on the keyboard shows everything.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Takes getting used to

Pros:Decent keyboard, reasonable price
Comment:
This is a fairly good keyboard, reasonably price. The only problem I am having with it is adjusting to the layout. I expect that in due time, this will not be an issue.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:None

Pros:Amazing ergonomic keyboard
Comment:
I love this keyboard! I use it out of the box with the elevated stand and I'd recommend everyone at least give it a try. It replaced a very old and creaky Microsoft Ergo with a PS2 plug. I can't go back to a standard keyboard for my daily working hours - ergonomic keyboards (and trackball mice) have saved my wrists!

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:IntelliType software doesn't let you remap the 5 hot keys

Pros:Perfect ergonomic split designComfortable wrist wrestKeys have a great feel
Comment:
I've been using an ergonomic design keyboard for many years. I've been using this keyboard for 3 or 4 years now. I love it. I would be frustrated only if it died and I couldn't replace it with the exact same keyboard. The wrist wrests are very comfortable. The back/forward shortcuts in the center under the space bar can be mapped to forward/back for music, so that's convenient. However, the favourites buttons (1 - 5) can't be remapped and are stuck assigned to windows task bar items 1 - 5 in windows 7. Minor inconvenience, but being able to assign these to anything I wanted would have been nice.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:- Space bar tends to be a little finicky to press- Volume buttons instead of wheel/roller- No forward/back buttons for music

Pros:- Incredibly comfortable- Perfect keys locations- Wrist strain completely eliminated- Great price
Comment:
I've been using this keyboard at work for a few months now and I can't believe how comfortable it is. I decided to buy it for at home and I don't think I'll ever move to another keyboard (unless they make a better/newer version of this one). It is an absolute joy to type on.My only gripes with it is the keyboard tends to be a bit hard to press if you don't press with the right angle. It's a very minor thing so it doesn't detract from the quality overall. The only thing I wish this keyboard would have is a wheel or roller for the volume instead of buttons, and it's also missing a forward/back button for when listening to music. In the end, this is a fantastic keyboard for anyone who wants less strain on their wrists. Once you get used to the layout, there's no turning back. Excellent keyboard for the price.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Keys are far apartRubber-dome technologyThe above two issues slow my typing.

Pros:Excellent shape to reduce wrist strain / RSI / carpal-tunnel issuesLots of programmable keys
Comment:
I first started using one of these about six years ago, and have never looked back. I now own three (two wired and one wireless). Though it slows me down a little, it permits me to work for 12-16 hours each day without overdosing on ibuprofen -- the only way I was able to work when I was still using "regular" keyboards.I have investigated lots of ergonomic keyboards, but the only competitor I have seen costs (I'm not kidding) over $300. If you can find a better keyboard for under $200, not only will I buy that keyboard, I will pay YOU $100!

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:It says microsoft on it. The space key is a little stiff.

Pros:Excellent keyboard for alleviating wrist strain. Well designed and takes little getting used to.
Comment:
Overall a great keyboard for people stuck typing all day. I am on a computer typing for at least 6 solid hours a day and this has helped reduce wrist strain substantially. Worth the cost.

Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - keyboard
Cons:Too many other buttons (e.g., multi-media)Intellitype drivers requiredWrist support pad could be softerNeeds better spill resistance

Pros:Ergonomic center curvatureConvenient central zoom controlStandard 101-key layoutAdditional web & calculator buttons
Comment:
I have severe to moderate Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and typing is not the best of tasks for me. I switched to the Natural Ergonomic KB 4000 several months back, and found that the shape and height actually improved wrist strain. I have combined this with the Evoluent Vertical Mouse for increased ease and comfort of typical computer work and decent enough for gaming.Unit comes with Intellitype drivers which sometimes gets screwy. It will work with the standard keyboard drivers in Windows or Linux, but the multimedia buttons may not function correctly. This unit will also short when wet so do not spill anything on it. If used for typical office/home tasks, this kb is excellent for reducing repetitive strain injuries.
