Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Can't delete some files without Administrator permission (I am the Administrator)
Pros:No crashingMedia Center actually works Comment:
I love Windows 7. I had a laptop with Media Center XP and could never get it to work properly. When people ask me why they should get Windows 7 I tell them because it actually works. I have several different hard drives and I like how easy it is to access photos and videos. You tell 7 where to look and they all come up in one window. Very easy to work with and a huge improvement over Vista. There have been strange instances where I can't delete a file without admin permission and it doesn't make any sense. I had to use a reg hack to take ownership just to delete some random file. Still a great OS. |

Cons:none so far
Pros:fast, good-looking UI, includes most drivers, stable and reliable Comment:
One really nice thing about Windows 7 is that it includes most of the drivers you need. I built a computer and it automatically got my printer, wifi adapter, sound, video etc driver - I didn't need to install one driver. Also it is very fast and stable, no crashes or freezes up in 8 months. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Not free, but totally worth the price
Pros:Strong OS, stable, already mature, as safe as you can make it when you have 90% market share. Comment:
Very strong OS, and now that Microsoft is publishing more free materials, it makes it even more worth it. Combine it with MS Secrurity Essentials for a powerful free anti-virus, and MS Live Essentials for emails and all sort of nifty programs (video editing, blogging, etc). You can even use Office Live for free with a Hotmail account. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Windows thins you're a child and takes you by the hand.
Pros:Easy install, feels safer than previous versions, looks good. Comment:
Just upgraded from Win XP as I replaced some parts in my PC. I was delighted to see I could put my drivers on a USB drive instead of a floppy (nope did not install Vista so I wouldn't know). One grudge I have is the way some customizable bits have changed and how Windows seems to think I am an infant sometimes.Other than that I am glad I made the move. |

Great OS just purchased and it should work wonders. Been waiting awhile for a decent OS and no way in hell i was gonna go with vista. Windows 7 is like if Vista and XP had a baby but the baby was a genius. Another great product from Microsoft and would recommend it to anyone. |

Pros:-Its way better than Vista-Wasn't a big shock moving from Windows XP-Supports 4gb of ram... Comment:
Bought this on sale. Its an operating system, what more can you say. I have not had any problems yet regarding the operating system itself, or the unit I bought. If your not in a hurry, wait till it goes on sale, I have seen it a few times already. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Pros:-It's Windows 7-Price
Comment:
This is one of the cheapest versions of Windows released, to date. Home Premium 64bit is often on sale for $93!I myself use Windows, OSX, and Ubuntu, so I recognize the merits and pitfalls of each - but for customers, Windows 7 is what they demand, and also what I provide. It's an essential component of any new build. Nearly everyone buying computers wants it. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:I find Opengl in this windows has issues with some games. Counterstrike was a pain to get working.
Pros:Much faster loading than vista.Seems to have less junk than Vista and resembles that of a XP style program.Has TRIM which is a necessity for installing on an SSD Comment:
I bought Windows 7 with my latest gaming pc build. I bought this as its NOT Vista and i was running my first ssd hard drive in a build.Windows loads in about 10 seconds maybe less. Its the fastest i have ever had windows load when running this on an SSD drive.Other than a few issues with some games im playing, (Which i have already solved) i love the program and its a much better improvement from Vista. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:Back to the lack of bundled software: It's a shame that Microsoft did not include the software of Windows Live Essentials and Security Essentials. The only reason I knew about those downloads is because I've been following the upcoming release of this operating system for a long time now. I may be using a Mac, but I learned on Microsoft and DOS/Windows will forever have a place in my heart. The only reason I can think as to why Microsoft omitted all that software is because of the possibility of anti-trust lawsuits or, perhaps, to dodge the criticisms that Vista had about software bloat. The new windows taskbar isn't for everyone, but being that I've been using a mac for over three years now, I've grown accustomed to the dock method of application launching and am glad to see some forward thinking on Microsoft's part.
Pros:New Taskbar layout: Once you get accustomed to it, you'll never look back; I haven't.-Performance: On my early 2006 iMac, I get great performance. I run an Intel Core Duo 2.0gHz, 2gb DDR2 RAM and an ATI Radeon Mobility X1600 Pro Video card with 512mb of VRAM. Even though the hardware is not officially supported by Apple to be running Windows 7, the drivers work perfectly. Also, any drivers that Microsoft had for Windows 7 were downloaded during installation.Bundled Software: The software bundled with Windows 7 has been stripped down to what most people will need. No longer do you have the Windows Sidebar stealing precious RAM. If you desire to have Windows Mail, Windows Messenger, etc., you can do so by downloading Windows Live Essentials. Also, for the security conscious and monetarily frugal consumer, Microsoft offers Windows Security Essentials that includes virus and malware protection. FOR FREE!Cons: Back to the lack of bundled software: It's a shame that Microsoft did not Comment:
If you are in dire need of professional software that you run on Windows XP and cannot, for the life of you, get rid of it, get Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate so you can have XP compatibility mode.I strongly suggest a clean install (yes you can do it with upgrade media) to anyone upgrading to Windows 7 so dust off that external hard drive and put it to good use. Backup all your precious picture, movies and music, install Windows 7 and enjoy. |

Cons:Not sure about swapping major computer parts with this OEM version. Time will tell
Pros:FastQuick Instalation Comment:
I had Vista and it didn't bother me at all. It workd fine for my needs. I ended up with windows 7 after buying it for my father. He decided to take the Vista and leave me with Windows 7. So far Windows 7 is faster and smoother than Vista. It made difference that I'm happy with. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack
Cons:- Another Windows
Pros:+ Stable (so far) Comment:
Pretty good so far. Besides it updating on every shutdown, I haven't been annoyed yet. The only problem with a x86 system or whatever is that I have 4 program file folders on 2 hard drives. Kind of confusing updating from XP. Everything is running smooth and I am adjusting to the new windows.TIP = Ctrl + scroll down to make those MASSIVE desktop icons smaller than you can select in settings. |

Cons:-The windows programs that came with the operating system in vista you must download, and it takes a long time
Pros:-Glitches of previous versions solved-Aesthetics -easy to use-features are amazing-Parental control features-security Comment:
Overall, this is the best operating system to date. I've had zero issues with it in the past year and am enjoying every bit of it. However I recommend, if getting this that you make sure to accompany it with anti-virus software. |

Cons:Harder to tweak the system
Pros:Faster then XPMore "Pretty" Comment:
I LOVE XP! I didn't really want to get Win7, but I wanted to take advantage of DX11 and in the future more games will be 64bit (I hope...) I think it is faster then XP was. Althou it's a fresh install so time will tell :) |

Windows 7 installs faster than any previous version since 95. Almost always gets the drivers installed by default. 64 bit is no longer an issue unless you've got some really old printer! Don't bother putting in the serial number and get 30 days to test on your system before registering.
