Similar to Vista yet so much better. You can feel the difference with a 64-bit system (assuming you have decent hardware horsepower, of course). Very stable.

Hands down the best version of windows i've used. Every thing is super easy and you can customize practically everything to your liking. Networking also has never been easier.

I installed this on my wife's laptop as an upgrade to XP. So far, it is very stable, but the laptop doesn't like the new secure desktop feature. It blacks out for 20 to 30 seconds each time (on my desktop, it blinks for a fraction of a second).

well hey this OS works great and it doesn't have any of the problems of Vista, that being said I shouldn't have had to pay for this when I already paid for that useless piece of software known as Vista. Microsoft is not going to get praise from me for creating an OS that actually does what it is supposed to do, and that is work properly. So as far as value goes I gave it one star, because of the money I have already wasted on Vista.

The only thing i dont like about this windows is the internet explorer 8. So page like up here on this site when you click on the picture of items the bottom scroll bar does not appear. I have found a way around it. You have to copy the page address and paste it in a new window. Then you have a bottom scoll bar like normal.

I enjoyed Windows 7. Was a little nervous from the entire Windows Vista experience, but Windows 7 was pretty effortless. set up my wireless network with no trouble. Plug and play devices aworked except for a fingerprint reader, but everything else played flawlessly. I enjoy the look and feel and the ability to change the windows and I like the rollover effect in the task bar. nice

I was an XP holdout, and a longtime windows skeptic. I have to say that I am very impressed with how well this OS works. Its stable, reliable, and efficient with my hardware's capabilities. There is certainly a large WOW factor over XP in terms of graphics and the ability to customize features. I would strongly encourage people to get this product, 7 hits the mark perfectly in everything I look for in an OS: Stability, Efficiency, and Ease of Use.

I must say I am enjoying the look and feel of Windows 7. The only draw back is alot of my original software programs are not compatable. Hope i can get my Zune working. afterall it is made by Microsoft.

I have windows 7 home premium oem version and I have to say its a pretty solid OS. Cannot recommend windows 7 enough. I will steal a line from apple and say windows 7 just works. I've had it since launch and not a single compatibility error or system crash. I am also impressed with how good the new windows media player is compared to the one in winxp. In winxp i had so many 3rd party apps so I could do what I wanted to do and now I just use all the windows 7 native apps and they do the job.

my only complaint is the drm in media player-my old music i purchased from mm jukebox wont play -you cant get permission from mmjb -there gone-os is best i owned

they really did their homework on this one unlike vista.. some times it takes me a little while to find what im looking for because it has all changed but i can say its for the best!

Installed easily, no issues with basic installation. I used a WD EARS (advanced format drive) and was up and going in under an hour. Installed a some games, both new and old, likw COD:MW2, TF2, Dawn of War I, Eve Online, etc. All work well.
