Cons:Needs a "video tutorial" to help users get used to the new interface and how to customizeMail, Music and Video apps force you into Xbox, Microsoft email and other Microsoft commercial products that I will never use

I was able to upgrade from Vista Ultimate 64 , no issues whatsoever .Jaw dropping gains on Benchmark tools like Heaven, 3D Mark, Everest etcGames and video rendition is worth it alone for me.I am taking off 1 star because of Microsoft's penchant on wanting to "force feed" you Hotmail, Xbox and other commercial nonsense that I will never use.In the SP1 update(when it happens), they need to release apps that allow for using whatever email client, music , video and photos they want without being "locked in" to Microsoft and Microsoft store.This is a totally new venture for Microsoft and I fear that all the amazing "inside: improvements will be overlooked by PC users complaining about the " Metro" UI.As far as smoothness, stability and speed, this the best that MS has to offer.Yes I would recommend it to those who are willing to learn a little and be willing to customize.Very powerful OS that takes full advantage of multicore and multi gpu configs |
