Just adequate length to get my 598U to a window facing the finest tower in my rural location. I'm sure glad this low price answer worked as I believed I'd have to setup a external outdoor antenna. I've got a great signal now that stays locked to high speed EVDO 98% of the time. The short 14" USB extension cable that came with the 598U has a encapsulated ferrite RF (radio frequency) suppressor on it. This 15' cable did not so I added one particular that clips-on over the crossing point of a loop I created in the cable near exactly where it plugs into the computer system. |

affordable did not supply ample power (USB port is fine: other USB extensions function fine) it would not work with my keyboard/mouse receiver or my usb drive. works fine with my external tough drive that has its own power supply. |
