If you make a decision you want to move the eSATA drive, forget it, the cable is coming out of the back of the computer and/or the eSATA drive. Can't keep the cable connected long adequate to see if it functions. Sending it back nowadays.

Nuthing it need to be just a working cable not that hard to do. Got a dud. This cord sucks. Its to thick and heavy for its own great, its own weight pulls it out of drives and it doesnt stick in very effectively. Wow generating e-sata cables isnt that tough

Decent quality material for the cost, but, read the Cons. Not created to appropriate specs. This cable will not totally engage in an open, flush mount eSata socket without removing 1Ǟ inch of the plug jacket material. The organization that produced these cables must be made to send a properly manufactured cable to all who purchased these cables.

None so far Im making use of this with a thermaltake max 4 external HDD with a 500Gb western digital drive inside and it's incredible! file transfers that took nearly 20 mins by USB take a matter of only a minute or so by esata. also a thing that took me a minute figure out is that you have to have the external HDD turned on prior to you turn on your pc or it wont be detected, just a helpful hint for first time esata users like me.

It is an esata cable. It doesn't function. The cable itself is long adequate, but the actual connectors aren't! I plug them into my eSata card and they remain just fine, but when I plug them into my external hard drive, they fall suitable out. They aren't long sufficient to remain in the difficult drive securely. This was a waste of my money. I would not advocate acquiring this product.

Appears sturdy Didn't operate. I cycled back and forth among this cable and another cable that I purchased that worked, and after various tries this cable in no way resulted in the eSata drive to be recognized. I bought a Fantom 2TB eSata/USB drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822207017, and two cables 1 of the cables worked http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816064, and this cable failed to function. I won't be sending it back simply because it's so low-cost/inexpensive.

Affordable. Didn't work. Shipping it back costs much more than the cable is worth. Bought this with an eSATA tough drive. The difficult drive works fine via USB, but this cable is not working. It's not worth the cost of shipping it back to get a replacement.

inexpensive Beware these cable's plastic plug ends are on the fat side.Make positive your pci card's port is mounted in the center of it's slot vs edge flush for these cable's to seat + work properly.

Low cost, if it works for you. Does not fit securely in many frequent esata sockets; Quite stiff cable only adds to this difficulty. Seeking at the other reviews before buy, I thought "it can't be that bad". I was wrong. Maybe some kind of manufacturing defect, or just out of spec? In certain, it did not securely fit my widespread WD external drives nor my PC.

These points are STIFF. I think I can use them as tow cables for my truck. The rubber around the connectors on the end doesn't allow the plug to totally engage. I had to cut about 1Ǟth of an inch off the rubber around the plug to get enough of the plug exposed for them to work. The cables are so stiff that unless you intend to have them bent in any way near the end of the plugs, they will just fall out rather than permit the cable to bend. I didn't believe it possible, but these items are so stiff that they are near impossible to use in a real-globe situation. I had to place my drives on the ground behind my pc in a near straight line for them to not fall out of the esata port.
