PATRIOT 8GB SD CLASS 10
Comment:
It operates, even though write speeds are slow. It is pretty. Write speed is quite slow, and Patriots's usual response is, "many devices don't however assistance class 10 speed", which may possibly be occassionally accurate, but which is usually just baloney. This card is even slow copying files from my computers hard drive to the card in newer model card readers. I am a pro photographer and licensed network engineer, and this card is slower than any other SD card I personal, tested in an A-B comparison in a number of environments. Don't get this card if write speeds matter to you. It claims to be class ten, but all my class 6 cards are more rapidly, and any S..D... Extreme model is substantially more rapidly. Sorry Patriot, I utilized to get your merchandise based on your brand name, but have identified other name brands with greater efficiency for sale at newegg, like power supplies and desktop memory. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer,We're sorry for any inconvenience in the matter. To troubleshoot the concern, please speak to support@patriotmem.com and we'll be glad to take a appear at the speeds you are seeing to figure out if something might be wrong with your cards.Thank You for deciding upon Patriot Memory!Regards,Patriot Support

Excellent speed for the price.Trustworthy so far. None to date. This card is comparable in speed or more quickly than my SanDisk and Transcend cards. I use these cards in Nikon D80, D200, D7000, and Canon G9 so the I only discover the speed when downloading to my computer systems. The speed is higher than any of my cameras require. The cards have performed reliably so far. You will conserve yourself a lot of grief if you reformat your cards in the camera right after each download and make backups quickly.

Fast Newegg shipping! Patriot LX series are labeled Class ten SDHC but performed slower than my existing Class 6 SDHC card on my Nikon D3000 DSLR! Incredibly disappointed with the results. Shooting subjects at continuous mode Partiot LX had far more lag "write time" than my current Class 6 SDHC card. I got substantially a lot more frames of shots with existing Class six card and I paid half the price of Pariot LX. I was hoping for a far better results but only end up wasting my cash. Great luck! Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,Thank you for picking Patriot Memory, we appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback for our Class ten LX SDHC. Please keep in thoughts that Class 10 is a relative new speed. The device need to fully assistance it in order to actually take benefit of the speeds. For a list of compatible devices please don't hesitate to get in touch with support@patriotmem.com; if your device doesn't fully support the class ten speeds I would advise you to get in touch with them for some sort of firmware update.Type Regards,Patriot Memory Support TeamExternal Link(s): Patriot Memory Assistance Forums|

I use these Patriot LX cards in all cameras but 1, and am shopping for one more pair (Canon 5D MKII, Nikon D60, Kodak Playsport, Panasonic TM700K, and P&S's). I've drug a pair of these 8G models by way of some rough environments and rough therapy and they're still trustworthy. Will not hiccup in HD shooting and transfers 4G files to the desktop as if it had been an internal drive.Rapid as can be, if spec'd for it. The prices are right too! None. Ideal card I've tried. Please read your equipment manuals or call to see if Class 10 is utilized. None of mine (even the high finish D50) do, except in ideal shooting scenarios. Spec is 22MB/s and the old Class six is 20MB/s in some cases. Larger number for a spec doesn't mean it makes the equipment far better than built. The card's capability stops at the plug. Also, benchmarking Flash and SSD's are an art in contrast to spindle drives and it's "on paper" information primarily. Just appears the Class is getting tested rather than the product. Shooting RAW, the burst is 13 fps and then slows as the buffer fills and then levels to a steady 10ps.

The client service department is friendly and rapidly. My detective card was replace very promptly with little hassle. The card I got from Newegg sporadically locked up my camcorder and refused to be recognized by any of my computers or laptops. The replace I received worked on all machines, except the speed class couldn't be detected. That means that my camcorder won't let me decide on the HD recording modes. The speed class not becoming recognized by my camcorder could be a camcorder issue, but my camcorder can detect the speed class of my SanDisk cards.

Comment:
Low-cost, functions some of the time Write errors, absolutely not a Class ten I got this as a low cost backup for my T2i and nevertheless feel like I wasted 8 bucks. I figured it wouldn't be quickly enough to manage burst in RAW, but I've had an unacceptable quantity of card errors while shooting not in burst, and even files it did take ended up corrupt when trying to open them on the laptop or computer. It almost certainly serves a purpose, but photography isn't one of them, at least not with the card they sent me. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer, We're sorry for any inconveniences this could have caused you. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with support@patriotmem.com for any technical questions you might have and we'll gladly appear into the issue. Thank You for deciding upon Patriot Memory! PATRIOT 8GB SD CLASS 10
Comment:
Was somewhat affordable compared to other class 10 SD devices. I didn't acquire this from NewEgg as it was less expensive elsewhere, I however assume that they are in truth the similar product as they are each Patriot model PSF8GSDHC10. Not as massive a distinction as I thought it really should be over my 8GB RiData Lightning Series class 6. Don't bother upgrading from a class 6 device of the identical capacity. I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 and I bought this to upgrade from the class 6 memory I was using. It didn't appear to make significantly distinction. In benching this I found that it was only a small quicker than my old class 6. I also tested a SanDisk 4GB MicroSD of unknown speed inside a SD adapter that I bought on Black Friday from a major box shop for subsequent to nothing and it buried each the Patriot and RiData devices. Write/read on all 3 making use of my PC are as follows: Patriot 6.1ቪ.three, RiData 5.8ቩ.8, SanDisk 12.3ቯ.8. Then I thought to bench it in the camera itself and see how several photos I could take in 3 per second burst mode just before overwhelming the memory and the camera pausing to catch up. Comparable results: Patriot 42 pictures taken, RiData 38 and SanDisk an incredible 66 photographs just before the camera wants to breathe and pause. Sure wish I bought a lot more of these SanDisk on the low cost or at least taken note as to what they had been as it doesn't say on the device other than the brand and capacity

Works like a typical SDHC card - for a though. Card has write errors soon after about 100MB full - every time. Also, from the testing I've been able to do (on the 1st 100MB of the card), this is only slightly quicker than the other Class 6 cards I own. The packaging advertises sustained write speeds of 10MB/s (minimum!), but I was only able to see around 7MB/s (max). Testing was carried out employing HD Tune and moving files back & forth employing Windows Vista. Also, I did some subjective testing on my DSLR, which performed no much better with this card than any other cheap, generic SD card I've tried. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer,Thank You for selecting Patriot Memory. Please preserve in mind that the device is host dependant. Please check with the manufacturer of the method or device to make sure that the device totally supports the Class 10 speeds.Sincere Regards,Patriot Memory AssistanceSupport@Patriotmem.com
