Bought this on sale last week and installed Windows 7 Pro it on my Latitude laptop yesterday. It's definitely faster than the WD 7200 sata drive it replaced but not by a great margin. OS installation was also quicker as expected. I haven't been able to benchmark its performance but I suspect that it is far from a high performance drive. However, the "Windows Experience index" gives it a 7.8 out of maximum 7.9 rating for "disk data transfer rate."
