It was inexpensive I have to press down, and then hang my keys on it to make a connection. I purchased this as a back up to my typical stick, and did not open it till a couple of weeks right after my possibility to RMA was over. I ultimately employed it to transfer data from my two computer systems at property, and identified out I require to preserve force on it to keep a connection. Seven dollars was not sufficient to bother attempting to call Patriot; so, I have no feedback on their Consumer Service. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer, Thank you for your precious feedback and bringing this to our focus. Please rest assured that we entirely stand by our items and that memory modules go by means of rigorous Good quality Control and testing. For any support, please don't hesitate to speak to assistance@patriotmem.com. Warm Regards, Patriot Assistance |

little size, simple grip. To be fair, I am revising my preceding evaluation due to the fact following initial use of the thumbdrive, it is performing much better on other xp systems that I have applied. It is nonetheless somewhat slower than my other thumbdrives, but it has been recognized on xp devoid of any further troubles. Sufficient response. Significantly less pricey and smaller sized size than most drives its capacity. |

Smaller than I thought it would be, which is good. Rubbery outdoors has a great grip and feel. It also protects the drive properly. I wouldn't be afraid to drop it. The cap fits snuggly and I don't believe I'll lose it. It's smaller sufficient to be on a keychain. Good price for 4 GB of storage. The drive looks excellent. Seems a tiny slower than other drives I've had. Specifically for transferring groups of tiny files in unique folders. Almost certainly not the finest drive for ReadyBoost. But for daily use it really should be plenty quickly. I will note that is performs nicely on Ubuntu Linux. It's a slower on Vista. I haven't tested it on XP but. It would have been great to a have a chain of some sort included. Has a red LED that flashes when it's operating. It's blue! My preferred color. It's dimensions (with cap on) are 1.625" L x fiveǞ" W x 3Ǟ" H. The height is measured at the widest portion, which is at the raised letters ("Patriot" on 1 side, "x-mini" on the other). |

this thing is fantastic. so tiny, so considerably space, and so low cost. you really can't go incorrect with this. vista recognizes and installs right away. transfers are quickly. i can see how the tiny size would be a con for some folks. it's actually half the size i expected it to be. if you're prone to lose issues, this may disappear on you. i couldn't be happier with this. it's tiny, the blue rubber casing is cool and 4 gb is a lot more than i want to transfer files here and there. go to ideal obtain and pay three occasions far more for anything larger and uglier with way less space. |

works fantastic... does its job even though the rubber is great, from time to time when you take it out of the usb port, it slides off... Manufacturer Response:Dear Anonymous I'm sorry you casing slides off your drive. You can contact me at the email address beneath to determine if you'd like to RMA the drive or if you'd like to attempt a homebrew solution, a little rubber cement inside must hold the case on just fine!John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Support Teamsupport@patriotmem.com |

It operates, I can store and retrieve data. Purchased two, a 4 and an eight gb model. Newegg website touts 5 year limited warranty for each models. Packages obviously state 2 year warranty. Called NE Cust Serv. Operator asked if I had referred to as the organization. Why?? Operator stated it would be checked into and acquire e-mail response, 4 days ago. How long does it take to check into details? Named Patriot tech assistance. Tech stated that they would honor 5yr warranty. I asked - What takes place when your gone or immediately after the 2yr deadline who will don\'t forget this VERBAL agreement between a tech and cust with no documentation? Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer,We will be glad to honor the 5 year warranty as stated on your certain package. The drive is modest (I maintain it on my key chain) and convenient. It appears a lot more durable than my old flash drive, which the USB connector broke off of. It also doesn't look to have the over-heating than a lot of flash drives have. With drives this low cost, I really should have gone ahead and gotten 8GB... I haven't seen the slowness that some other shoppers have reported. I have run games and utilities off of it with no challenge. I have my entire music and photo collection on right here, as properly as a great choice of utilities from portableapps.com. I'm very satisfied with my buy. |

Tiny, affordable, and fast adequate. I like the rubber storage, it doesn't break like tricky plastics do. The cover may be a small to loose, but it is okay.I experienced about 12MB/s read using HDTach3 in Windows XP A small slow, but not as well bad. Fits good on a crucial chain, extremely tiny! |

It's a wonderful quick drive. It tested out as one particular of my quicker USB drives. It's quite tiny and fits in tight spaces. The rubber outer-shell can easily be removed for an even smaller device. Not confident if it's poor but the outer rubber shell can very easily be removed. I really deemed that a good attribute. The speed is outstanding provided the value. I use it for booting ESXi and it's under no circumstances failed. |

Convenient little size. Virtually indestructible (trust me -- I'm rough on these issues). No moving parts or flimsy plugs. Fast USB 2., significant capacity. In-use LED display lets you know when the drive is getting accessed. Following just more than a year of day-to-day use, with 1000's of reads/writes, absolutely no loss of data integrity has been observed. Plays nice with other individuals - little adequate that it doesn't block ports in computers with side-by-side USB configuration. Has even survived the washing machine. More than time the silicone case begins to slide off of the stick, but a spot of super glue can repair this. This is only the second USB drive that I have gotten to the 1 year mark (the earlier one particular was a Samsung, but the sliding plug at some point got so flimsy that I stopped making use of it). It's undoubtedly a sturdy, high-reliability drive for these that will need one hundred% out of their flash drive. Undoubtedly *not* for these who shed issues, even so. :) |

Boots FreeNas. To make this take place I had to insert the thumb drive for the duration of or just soon after the FreeNas installation from CDRom course of action. Once it is installed it worked good. Nonetheless, if you boot up with the thumbdrive currently inserted for the duration of intial energy up booting off the FreeNas install CD, the installer would fail (which was not the situation testing my other thumbdrives).LED blinky is good.Smaller- best size for usually inserted boot device Time it took to comprehend why this thumbdrive behaved various than my other two thumbdrives. |

Tiny, essentially weightless, good rubbery coating (i don't think you could break it even if you threw it at a wall repeatedly - the rubber is also thick and the drive itself just doesn't weight adequate). It's likely slower than some other drives you could get, but I don't really care. You might lose it. The flashing red light when it's in use can in fact be a small annoying but far from the end of the globe. It gets a little warm when you use it. I doubt that matters. |

Rubber Cap doesn't fall off. Incredibly smaller and compact. Plays nicely with other USB sticks in tight locations (think laptop crunch). I haven't identified 1 but. With some effort the rubber housing can be removed from the body. I am employing this one particular as a bootable drive to test and install linux distributions on recyclable computers. It's a lot more hassle-free than carrying about a bunch of cd's. One particular USB and a boot diskette/CD for computers that don't boot from USB and I'm all set! |

Tiny size; I like the ability to take the rubber off and use them for a nondescript component on the back of a motherboard for embedded boot. Great price tag. If you were to place these on a keychain, the rubber boot might pull off if it were to be in your pocket and get dirty. They're reasonably effortless to pull off.Unreliable. I've got 6 of them; one particular has currently began reporting errors with light use, and a single was DOA (nothing I plug it into detects it and the LED does not blink).Transfer speed seems seriously low on the most recent ones I've bought compared to the ones I purchased some months ago; I've yet to confirm the binning or anything like that. Portion of me suspects a bait/switch The a single that was DOA appears to be of a newer batch with larger, far more a discernible 'binning'/serial quantity on the USB plug (which is on the older ones, just not as readily visible). It's bigger print with " and ŘGB" on the plug ground/sheathing. This newer bin also appears markedly slow - no noticeable 'good' or 'bad' transfer speeds on the old ones (USB two. flash drive, whatever), but the new ones are painfully slow. Debian 6 set up took the much better component of an afternoon on a new board... Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer, We're sorry for any inconveniences this may possibly have caused you. Smaller but not the tiniest flash drive even though (check out the PQI flash drive)Fantastic capacity ƔGB) for a decent value Slow: maximum write speed is about 7.5MB per sec. No keychain or lanyard I bought this flash drive mainly to attach it to my essential chain. It does not show significantly of improvement more than my old Sandisk Micro. |

Tiny -- thin sufficient that it won't occlude other USB devices from a different, quickly adjacent port, brief sufficient that it's not bait for getting knocked around as well effortlessly on a laptop.Protected physically -- firm rubbery casing implies you can knock this small drive about some without having worrying also significantly. So far no challenge with the situation slipping with quite a few inserts/retrievals.Uncomplicated -- No software at all, which is what I choose (I come across it annoying when the very first point I have to do when I get a new drive is to erase garbageware that comes "helpfully" preinstalled. I just want some effortlessly transportable storage space!)Swift -- I didn't run timed trials, but you can see other evaluations for that; I can just say that subjectively, it's faster than other drives I own. Properly, it's smaller, so you'll have to be cautious not to lose it, even though the color aids it to stand out. It appears that a lanyard can be linked to the casing but no lanyard is included.Nothing a lot really wrong, particularly at this value. It's a swift, uncomplicated small drive with a protective, simple-to-see case. |

Incredibly little. Common USB plug. None I bought this to use with a digital image frame. The modest size enables the flash drive not to stick out from behind the picture frame. IT is totally hidden. The activity light is relatively vibrant and obnoxious but I can\'t see it when it is being employed in the digital picture frame. It doesn't flash off the walls or something and the frame is off when the lights are off so the activity light is not an situation. It functions perfectly for this circumstance. |

Compact, way-cool rubberized housing. Oh, yeah, and the efficiency and storage space is brilliant! None. Wish the lanyards we use could be attached to the cap, a la the Crucuial Gizmo design. Children shed caps, not keys.
