no difficulty with the memory, works as advertised. finding in fact I have ordered another one just before typing this review Over all acquire expertise degrades, the eggsaver shipping method does not appear to be worth the saving as it takes 6 biz days to go from NJ to MD.

Utilised in the Acer Aspire Revo r 1600 to bump the memory from 1gig to 3gigs, boost ION reserved memory.Similar timing, installed effortlessly and played well with bios and Windows 7. Improved loading, smoother video playback/loading. Still not as zippy as i would like, but that is the Atom's fault. Wasn't positive this would prove a beneficial upgrade but it was worth it - just too bad you can't update the processor in the Revo! 40 bucks above 200 nonetheless makes the little nettop a fantastic deal!

Question: Does this memory play nice with older systems and slower DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) memory installed on the same laptop? Apparently "a lot of PC2-6400 memory has an SPD (Serial Presence Detect) chip that knows only its rated speed - and nothing slower... a PC2-6400 module on a name-brand method which supports only up to PC2-5300 memory will not even POST" (excerpted from club cdfr eaks - /f7/upgrading-ram-256081/). Does this memory include a SPD-programmed speed of 667? I have to have to know just before producing the purchase. If the above issue reveals an incompatibility with my program and/or other installed memory, then it will not function.Does anyone have an answer? Manufacturer Response:Greetings,In relation to your question concerning slower RAM working with the quicker memory. The RAM will run at the speed of it's slowest module. By mixing RAM like that you are not going to get greater performance. My suggestion would be to replace the slower RAM with sticks of the exact same speed as the newer RAM. Added this SoDimm to my ASUS Eee PC 1005HA (N280, 1.66GHz) Netbook. Works excellent and gave me some required speed for multi-tasking. package was cold when it arrived? had to wear gloves. make certain up upgrade the bios so windows 7 sees this as a 2gb chip

effortless install I went from 3gb - 4gb in my Toshiba 305 s5933 that i purchased from newegg appears to assist a small i thought the toshiba was movn slow low cost !! in price none Newegg ROCKS!!!!!

My HP Probook 4510s accepted the install of this stick with no problems. Increased my laptop from 2GB to a total of 4GB. Didn't appear to improve the speed of the computer by quite much. Only increased the Win7 memory expertise level from 5.5 to five.6. Oh nicely.

This ram worked flawlessly from day one. Plug and play, and immediately the Windows encounter went up, my netbook sized laptop booted quicker, and every little thing in general runs significantly quicker. I have the Lenovo x100e, and put in 2 of these sticks into it (making a total of 4gb of ram) and it runs perfectly. None Obtain this ram. You can't go wrong with Patriot.
