Cool
Comment:
Just a note. If you have a 32-bit operating system, it will support 4 Gigs of memory, including the video card's memory. So if you have a 1 Gig video card, this will only show up as 3 Gigs of memory.

This is worth the money
Comment:
Works great on my Windows 7 x64 computer. No problems! I like the heat sinks on it. They are tall so put them in last or you might not be able the get anything in your drive bays. LOL ....I found that out the hard way.

Ive been using this ram for a couple weeks now. As said below when installing it push it in by the sides of the ram itself and not the fins they are pretty thin

It works for me
Comment:
I'm using this alongside 2GB of slightly slower (5-5-5-14) duel channel RAM running it all at 880 Mhz with no problems. It appears the extended cooling fins make it easier to damage as another reviewer mentioned, I took his advise and was careful to NOT PUSH ON THE FINS during installation, advise worth repeating. Also watch that wires do not snag on the fins when working on other things in your case. My particulars, ASUS board M3A78-CM, AMD Phenom II 965, Windows 7 x64 Home premium.

got the best deal ever!
Comment:
when i got this set of ram it was prob the lowest price for DDR2 over all! after rebate it was less than $25 awesome ram for what it is. but if you are a overclocker save your self some time, it's not gonna go fair... i only got mine up to 1066 at 5-5-5-18 with adding some voltage vs. my set of OCZ2RPR800C44GK it was running somewhere around 1100 at 4-4-4-15 at stock 2.1V which i got it at the same time for a little bit less than that too after $40 rebate lol

Good deal at $62 after rebate
Comment:
Works great on my updated Windows 7 x64 computer. No problems installing this and OS recognized it quickly. RAM prices have been increasing so for $62, it was a good deal. Several months ago, this would have been $40 or so.

Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory w/Futuremark 3DMark Vantage Key Bundle
Cons:never got words back on my MIR

Pros:good quality ramgot them at a decent price
Comment:
The product is great, but what really prompted me to buy this was the mail in rebate, with the MIR it put itself at a very good price. I mailed it out and its been months now and I never got words back on my Rebate, it seems to have disappeared, and it's also teh one time I forgot to photocopy it.I do a lot of Mail in Rebate and I know the gist of it, this is not my first patriot rebate, my other patriot rebates arrived within a week, I got a notification that it was received and weeks later I got my money. Great memory, cut my boot time on my Dell XPS 410 system in half. I purchaced this memory a year ago and I have to say why did they double the price since then? I was thinking of getting 2 more sticks of it , but not now!

Great memory ...ONLY PRESS ON THE ENDS
Comment:
I destroyed one chip by pressing on the fins and it seperated, only press on the nub ends of the circut board of the chip. I have been throwing chips into computers for 23 years and never had a problem before, even had looked at the packageing or materials and nothing said to treat this chip any differently. The other chip works great.

Really Good! may get another pair
Comment:
It has a good latency and is fast for a cheap price, though in the motherboard it gave wrong timings, but that's the motherboard's fault. This product is worth the money!

Stable Memory
Comment:
Running in an Asus overclocked setup with no performance issues. Works great and stays cool. Only con is the cooling heatsinks are taller than average and you will need to make certain you have room for them extending about an inch higher than the physical memory module. Other than that - works great.

Only 1 Problem
Comment:
Comp did NOT auto detect ram. U need to set the voltage manually on the bios to 2.1V as apposed to 1.8V (mine) or auto (default). This ram is pure awesomeness. Fast, and Slick. Its got an Sweet 3D NVIDIA logo on the side and its neon green. Photo's don't do it justice. Its Fab!

Cons:None at all.

Pretty good memory deal
Comment:
Have had these strips on a new MB for about a month or so. Does everything you'd expect and a bit more. Two minor annoying things tho: 1) hardcopy (paper) blurb inserted in 1 strip so that a bit remains between the strip and its heatshield, & 2) rebate company takes forever to get back to you.

What can you say about RAM? It works or it doesn't... in this case it did. If you have a clear side case, you'll appreciate the sheer beauty. The price was phenom-enal.

Problem child combination
Comment:
I had one mb that I tried using the memory in originally. mb did not properly detect timing. Tried suggested failsafe timings for memory, saw memory but very unstable. Sent back 1st mb and ordered a different brand mb. Detects failsafe memory timings in auto, but when set to the suggested timings in manual, constant blue screens. The 4 4 4 12 timing may work in some mbs, but not in either of these. Memory does work with 6 5 5 15 setting determined by mb. A little disappointed in the speed of the memory, but at least found stable mb, setting, memory combination.
