Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:has a green pcb.

Pros:runs rock stable at advertised speeds, even with two of those kits together for a total of 16GB.
Comment:
This kit works wonderfully with my mobo (asus p8z68-v pro).I was able to run two of those 8gb kits still at rated speeds. The all black heatsink looks very sharp and blends with any color scheme. My only complaint is that the first kit I bought had a black pcb, and one month later, when I bought a second kit, it had a green pcb. Not a big deal though.

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:size too big if it needs to sit under heatsink

Pros:Good price fast and easy
Comment:
Very good and fast ram for the price. You may not be able to run the memory over 1333 for 7 series chipset but it is perfect for Intel or AMD AM3+ cpu

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:One of the sticks died.

Pros:Reliable RAM set, high clock speeds, looks excellent in my case.
Comment:
One of the sticks died in my PC 32 days after installing. For the price of shipping back to Patriot, I could have purchased another kit. So I did. Awesome set of ram, with a little bit of tweaking, it is blazing.

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:tall, Your ram might not fit under your CPU cooler.

Pros:fast & cool, looks nice
Comment:
In my case the ram didn't fit under my A50 cooler. I might get the H100 with another pare of these sticks. Just be sure to enter 9-11-9-27 for timing & not 5-5-5-15 like it shows in the 2 page booklet. xD

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:size of ram, too big and got in the way with my processor cooling system

Pros:fast and pretty, size allows for great cooling
Comment:
Basically, this is what you want for ram, i probs would not have bought it for the original price but when its on sale for 60 $, deff a great find, had to work with motherboard settings to get it to recognize the 1866 speeds but deff noticed a good improvement afterwards. only problem was size but meh thats not a bad thing

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:-Core i motherboards default at RAM voltage 1.5V where these RAM sticks run at 1.65V.

Pros:-Fast-Lots of virtual storage; haven't capped yet
Comment:
Easy install; no issues yet.I was informed that these run at 1.65V and my motherboard (1455) runs RAM at a default 1.5V so you will have to go into your BIOS and set the voltage to support the required 1.65V. Some have said this could create  issues and stability problems but I have yet to encounter any.Amazing price, lifetime warranty...never think about updating your RAM for a long time.

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:Heavier and thicker than your standard chips. Doesn't leave much spacing between them.

Pros:Bad-ass heat sinks. Copper on the inside and a heavy aluminum on the outside.
Comment:
Bought 3 sets of these for my x58 motherboard to replace 3x 2gb G.Skill 1600mhz chips. (ASUS P6X58D-E, i7 950) I had no trouble getting them to run triple channel in 3, 4, or 6 chip configurations. 1066, 1333, and 1600 XMP worked fine, but 1866 required some fine tuning. I found that at 1866 I would sometimes get 16, 20, or 24 gb detected by the bios. I decreased the speed to 1852 and it detects 24 gb every time.

Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
Cons:None whatsoever, assuming they stay working good :)

Pros:Works great at XMP rating h 1866mhz, nice black heatspreaders, price is unbeatable for 8gb of 1866 ddr3 with lifetime warranty to boot.
Comment:
I bought this ram to go along with a new z68 mobo and 2600 K and I based choosing this ram on three main things:1) The outright value has to be number 1. With rebate and instant savings offered by NCIX, this ram came to $56 after tax.. this is just ridiculous value for ram running at 1866mhz q 2x4gb dimms.2) The lifetime warranty adds great peace of mind to the purchase.3) Chips are not too big or bulky and the heatspreaders are nice black matte that look great with black motherboards. These chips should fit great in the majority of cases and configs and don't sit too high in the slot.On top of this, the chips can be pushed a bit farther with some clever bios tinkering making them a great choice for an overclocker like myself. These dimms are worth well more than what I paid for them.. Just an incredible deal for such nice ram and would buy again in a heartbeat. Thanks NCIX! Two thumbs way way way up.
