Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons:None...

Pros:Cheap, works great.
Comment:
Great value for money. I have tested this wifi adaptor on Windows 7 64-bit and on Mac OS X Leopard (the device includes a CD which has drivers for Mac OS 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6). It works perfectly, gets a strong signal and is very fast. Construction of the device is rock solid too, highly recommended.

After install all the garbage for this adapter I got a little crazy because of all the bloat. I uninstalled it and just installed the driver and let Windows control the rest and now I am a happy camper.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons:Needed to download XP and Win7 drivers from Realtek

Pros:Signal strength, ease of connection
Comment:
Although I just purchased this very recently, I'm amazed at the quality as a function of cost. I also purchased a D-link wireless N router at the same time and after downloading drivers from the Realtek site, it was up and running very quickly. The signal strength is excellent at a speed of 150 Mbps with the router being about 50 ft away through a floor. In contrast I also recently purchased a dlink pci-e wireless card for another computer situated within 10 ft of the one with this usb stick for 4 times the cost, and the pci-e device is getting only a fair to good connection. I will be buying more of these for my other computers and laptops.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons:- Has problems connecting in Kubuntu 11.04. Once connected, it's stable.- Can only get 150 Mbps in Windows, so it must be one of those crippled Wireless N adapters that can only achieve 150 Mbps (instead of 300).

Pros:- Small- Cheap (when Price Matched)- Works with Windows XP and 7
Comment:
I bought this because it's supposed to work with Linux. It has problems connecting to routers in Kubuntu 11.04 but once it's connected, it's stable.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons: none really

Pros: works well with both computers and patriot box office media centerfast
Comment:
I bought this to use with my brand new patriot box office media center and couldn't be happier. I originally got an 802.11g stick, but that didn't work too well for movies. This one does.it also lets me browse my huge network media shares without any lag. It can handle 5 directories, 50, or 500, all without a blink of an eye. 1080p movies stream perfectlyno real cons yet, except that you have to have an 802.11n router for this to work

Cons: none

Pros: Cost EffectiveGood Network SignalSmall SizeWorks with Linux
Comment:
Needed a wireless card to install in my multimedia box in my living room to connect to the network upstairs, didn't really want to run a line of cable but I also needed to make sure I had Linux support for the box.Checked out a few reviews online after seeing this own on sale and sure enough it should work well. Plugged it in and wala. (Ubuntu 10.10). Also works with debian with the firmware-nonfree package installed.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons: Kind of chunky.lost the cap already.

Pros: Wifi b/g/n. Works.
Comment:
Doesn't fit flush on the back USB port of the PBO which doesn't make sense since this item is sort of designed specifically for it. But it does its job for both the PBO and an old laptop. I believe there might be better options if you're using this on a laptop but this is the safest bet for the PBO since only Ralink chipset adapters can be used (like this one)

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons: Not the strongest antenna

Pros: Small, cheap, N support, comes with software
Comment:
For the price (especially free if you're buying the box office) there isn't a lot to complain about. This is the first wireless dongle of this type that I've used and it had some strange fluctuations in the signal strength (when nobody in the house was moving and nothing was happening) but for the most part its stable and will allow streaming of HD movies.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons: none

Pros: value, compatibility, features
Comment:
I wanted an inexpensive extra adapter for wifi research, one that would work well in Linux. This one from Patriot was perfect for me, it works great and I have no complaints. Typical network use is excellent.Aesthetically, this adapter is pretty typical. I like the fact that it has LED lights for activity (they stay off when there is none). The finish is a shiny black, slightly transparent to inside where the green LEDs are. The cap fits on snugly with a click. Only thing to be aware of is that this adapter is wider than e.g. your average thumb drive. If you have ports right next to the USB you have this in you might not be able to use them, as in the case on my laptop. The thickness isn't too bad so ports on top of each other shouldn't be an issue. If you're interested in use with Linux, read on. The chip inside is precisely a Realtek 8192SU (http://218.210.127.131/products/productsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=229). The package comes with a CD containing a Linux driver by Realtek which is compatible with several Realtek chips, and as far as I can tell all the source code is included. I couldn't find this to download anywhere, strangely. On Ubuntu 10.10 I didn't bother trying to compile that driver, I ended up just using the default module already included with Ubuntu: rtl8192s_usb. It complained about firmware not found but I found an article to fix a similar chip (http://blog.christophersmart.com/2010/10/22/realtek-usb-wireless-on-linux-fedora/). After grabbing http://au.billion.com/downloads/3011N/3011N_Linux_Driver.zip, extracting rtl8192sfw.bin and putting it in /lib/firmware/RTL8192S/ it works great. Monitor mode, packet injection, and all the attack modes work with aircrack-ng. Of course normal use under Linux is fine too.

Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N
Cons: None

Pros: Wireless-N, Compatible with Patriot Box Office
Comment:
It's one of the rare Wireless-N adapter that is compatible with Patriot Box Office. It's made by Patriot so I prefer it than other brands to be used with the PBO.
