PowerUp P4 CPU Cooling Fan - Socket 775, Copper Base

I guess I'll give it a 5 in all fields because, basically - it does the job. Anyone posting that they are running 50C or better, does not have it properly installed. I put this unit on a Prescott 3.4 and a 2.8 Pentium D. Both of those applications never saw 50C with a 100% load. I don't see how anyone else's temps would differ other than they don't have installed properly. If you are familiar with Prescott core CPU's, you know they run very hot. This is a bargain priced cooler that does it's job replacing the stock CPU HSF.

Easy to install, what cooling fan isn't. This is a piece of crap. Don't waste your money. Worked just okay for about 4 months then just siezed up. Stay away from this one.

Working great on a 2.2 GHz dual core, but the operation of the pegs wasn't exactly apparent. Took a little bit of investigation to figure out how to get it on solidly without any play or movement. For $20, it's a good fan.

Saw this on the Compusa shelf. Small brown box with instructions on the side...$19.95. This was my first build so I said for the price, try it. This a great little cooler! Cools my Pentium 4 2.6ghz great and my Intel motherboard controls the fan speed. I almost bought a monster cooler for 100+. Try this for 19.95 and you'll be a believer.

If you are useing a high end pent D dont bother with this cooler unless you can manualy adjust fan speed, wont get the job done. Idles at 52C and temps spike too high(comp shuts down) for me to use this when i'm running games.

PowerUp P4 CPU Cooling Fan - Socket 775, Copper Base
Comment:
The device arrived operational and was easy to install, but it did not mount very well between the CPU and the fan (a lot of movement/play). In the end my CPU (Quad-Core)was running at 70C (according to the bios temperature measurement). Very BAD. All electronics should normally be running at 10-20C above room temperature (35C-45C). This fan would have allowed glitches and lock ups in the CPU (and eventual death).

I use this to cool a Pentium D E2200 2.20GHz in one of my customers computers. Keeps it very cool without making a sound. The only thing I recommend is that you scrape of the cheap CPU gel and use something like ZeroTherm. All in all very good fan for the price.

Arrived DOA, I had to take another heat sink/fan from another computer. Got an RMA and I'm waiting for the new one to come in. Should have gone with my gut feeling and gotten the Thermaltake Orb.

This was one of the easiest to install cpu coolers I have ever installed. The cpu temps have been staying around 30C.I only used the already applied thermal paste that came with the fan and it works great. Also, very quiet running.

I'm not a computer expert by any means, but for my new build (Intel E4500 & XFX 680i LT SLI) I used this. The CPU, no overclock, is idling right now at 29C. Under FSX load it maxes at 44C. Critical System temperature is 65C. I'm not seeing any problems yet.

Fan is quiet, easy to install and does the job. CPU temp never exceeds 32C, even under load of video rendering. If someone is experiencing a problem with it, it's probably not installed right.
