Unfortunately, this item performs very poorly. It works fine if you're using the AAA batteries as the power source, but using the 12V power cord it amplifies your car's engine sounds through your speaker system. It's very noticeable in certain cars, but not that bad in others. As well, the audio quality is not that great. The bass seems to not exist, and it occasionally pans from L to R without any control over it. I would not recommend anyone purchase this unit, I WILL be returning it.

I ordered this FM transmitter after my cd player jammed out of the blue. I like it, its pretty clear on the channels I tune it to 90% of the time. The channel pre-sets are handy. The people who made the transmitter got the right idea, coming with a 12v adapter, being able to use triple A batteries, even has a USB socket to play songs off your USB stick. Its pretty simple to use even with out instructions. The cons: Bad build quality. It looks like the screens display wasn't put in correctly. Its not flimsy but it just looks real cheap...because it is. The 12v adapter plugs in fine to the transmitter but the actualy 12v plug sucks! Its too small i think, you have to constantly jam it, twist it around, etc to get power. Then by the slightest movement you lose power and have to do it over. Oh and the thermometer is wrong and I don't even know how to change the time. If you want a cheap, pretty easy to use fm transmitter...its definitely worth the 10 dollars.

This unit works if I place it on top of my visor with all the cables dangling in the way. If I place it lower, I get engine whine along with the music. By bringing up the bass all the way, I can minimize the whine, but its still there. Should have paid more attention to the gripes from previous buyers.

No detectable signal in two different cars. There's no instructions included. The Prolykz web site lists a one page manual, telling how to set up the transmitter - no instructions for setting the clock, viewing the temperature, etc. The instruction for saving FM frequencies doesn't work at all! For $10 not worth sending back. Caveat emptor, I guess

Works good. When you use the 1/8 cable jack But can some tell me what the USB is for? Doesn't play anything from a flash drive. Time is in 24h format, Temperature in Celsius.

Con: very weak signal transmission. Have to place unit on dashboard or back at the rear window antenna to get clearer signal. The signal is still not very clear. No instructions. Pro: price. Bought two.. returning the one that I did not open. Buying a Sony cassette MP3 adapter instead.

I use this with a flash/mp3 drive when I'm driving the Taxi. It works fine for me. I use it on 90.1 mHz an place the unit in a cloth mini camera bag and place behind the meter. The unit shows battery life, FM frequency, time, temperature, and has back light for the display. The unit comes with a car adapter if you don't want to use two AAA batteries. I found it to work best within 3 meters.

Thanks 10/7/08 reviewer for the manual website! Good little gadget. I use with my GPS/music/audiobooks. Sound quality fine. Up/down buttons get stuck. For the price, fine!

This device doesn't play all the music contained in a song-mainly just the artist's vocals. This is horrible! The music and lyrics together are what make up the song! I tried various mp3 players which all turned out the same results. The same mp3 players worked in other devices I tried.

Works great! Sound is very clear. Compared to similar devices, this one performs the best for the lowest cost. However, there is one unfortunate design flaw. There is no strain relief on the 3.5mm plug used for connecting to the MP3 player. From my experience with similar plugs, I expect this connector to fail after about 1 year of daily use. No manufacturer I have found makes a similar device with strain relief.

lets face it. its is an FM transmitter. FM... the reception will never be perfect but this one sounds pretty good in my car. 2 thumbs up! $10!!!

1st try out of the box was not good. Pkg says batts included ... not. Pkg says USB cable included ... not. LCD faceplate had fallen off and was loose inside pkg. No manual in pkg to explain how to program frequencies, etc. Car stereo can still hear some static when music is quiet. Maybe my experience will get better as I use it more.
