The component has worked for an extended period of time. Shipping prices are beginning to get expensive. It applied to be that newegg would give you a break on shipping prices, i.e. if you ordered this item they would charge you to ship it but then if you ordered much more than 1, they would ship them at no expense. The increased shipping costs are leading me to obtain additional and far more cableing at neighborhood laptop stores (or creating my own), therefore spending much less and less at newegg.

i got it to function as a boot drive on a old 500Mhz sony vaio with 250Mb RAM. Replaced an aging 17Gb. Big speed jump documentation is terrible. internet drivers are not the same as disk drivers 1) use web drivers2) use floppy energy plug or it will not work (your P/S should have min two floppy plugsƝ) copy web SATA drivers to floppy when building a Windows clean install, then press F6 and use drivers on floppy

Works properly, fits nicely, looks cool. The metal clip is secure but not difficult to connect or eliminate. No complaints here. No cons Slightly far more stiff that I'd prefer but this can't even be considered a con.

It's an adapter. It does what it's supposed to do. A number of critiques have indicated that it has a slightly loose connection nevertheless, I noted no such difficulty. It seemed to fit well and I have had no complications in the last 3 months considering that it was put into service. Employed it to power a SATA drive from an older PSU. NONE If I locate that I need to have any a lot more of these in the future I won't hesitate to order the very same item once more.
