Tiny, economical, operates good. None This card is quite cheap, but the sound excellent is wonderful. I bought it solely for compatibility with my five.1 speakers and I got wonderful sound.Nevertheless, if you're hunting for a massive hearty increase in sound excellent, this isn't the card you should be searching at. It's great if you need compatibility, but don't count on audiophile top quality.

Performs at some point... Challenging to set up. Not plug and play with windows xp. With windows 7 it installs at some point but also was not quite simple. For the price tag and following you get it working it is a decent card. But save your self the headache and go with a far better card/different brand.

Operates completely, as soon as I utilized just the drivers!! upon initial install I utilized th CD utilitity but the system that installed with the drivers would not disable. I uninstalled the entire plan & drivers, then employing device manager installed just the drivers. I marked down this item simply because of the plan that installs with the drivers. It just woud NOT run in the background.

Low-cost, fairly speaking, it'll price you some time. 5.1 looks to be unfashionable, for that reason, handful of other selections. Not a extremely agreeable install practical experience, you are virtually absolutely going to have to get drivers from someplace other than the package CD or the SIIG internet site. 4 units installed on different Pc's, all of them had the very same dilemma. SIIG doesn't appear to give a toss about their operate as soon as it's out the door, to terrible the rest of us can't take such a relaxed attitude.

low cost, that's it, Low cost. Intel chipset drivers, 900 series and equivalent are going wreak havoc with pci and IDE devices like these, that is to say they are not supplied with drivers up to date with chipset specs, may possibly as well overlook web updates from any of them. what functions is to use generic winXP drivers and that's about all. i get 4 votes here simply because i purchased 4 of these and they all have cost a fantastic deal of time and brought on more than a couple of gray hairs.

Decent cost, 6 channel help, 16bit. Super uncomplicated installation, even on Windows7. Truly a pretty low end card. While SIIG is a respectable brand, you get what you pay for. In this case, an actual DOWNGRADE from my motherboard audio. My actual lack of investigation into my mobo specs was the issue here, not the difficult ware itself. No eggs deducted, as i stated, very easily installed and performed as specified.

Functions fantastic with Windows 7. Hey, that's what I necessary it for. Low-cost. None My constructed in motherboard sound crapped out when I uninstalled some computer software on my laptop. I had fooled the drivers into installing by using compatibility mode set to Vista. Proof Intel could effortlessly update the driver but refused as well. Oh nicely. Won't be using their motherboards any longer.

Low priced.Extremely rapidly shipping.Windows 7 compatible.Works properly. Only 16 bit.It don't make me breakfast or coffee, guess I'll have to keep undertaking that. This small sound card functions significantly superior than the on board Realtek sound on my MB. Comes with uncomplicated to use directions, and software for tweaking your listening expertise. For ฤ, it can't be beat

Affordable, arrived rapid, functions ok and appears to play my music fairly very good I noticed a tiny bit of a noise coming from my speakers when they had been on and connected but not playing something. Since im not an audiophile, it doesnt genuinely matter to me. Im receiving a five.1 logitech to go with this , not substantially of an situation tho For whoever kept finding the message saying to "install the PCI card" through installation, assuming you have win7 and you have installed the unit correctly, All you have to do is DISABLE your old sound drivers from your motherboard or other soundcards you might have so that this can operate correctly . hit Start and sort "devmgmt.msc" Below "sound, video and game controllers" suitable click and disable the drivers u dont want, This one is beneath "C-Media PCI Audio Device" so dont disable this one particular. You will be asked to restart, do so and it must operate.

Excellent card! Got it and installed in WindowsXP and then on Windows7. On both platforms audio sounded excellent! 10xs far better than the onboard HD audio on my asus board. Also functions effectively with my logitech five.1 speaker technique. No concerns installing drivers on either OS. installed w/out a hitch. Cant say adequate on how effortless this was, how low-cost and how considerably of an improvement this was. Extremely recommend! Only con I can think of is that the driver that comes with the disk only supports the gameport on xp or 2003 server. gameport doesnt perform on Windows 7 but who uses the gameport these days anyway? Its only 16-bit audio but its not a con. it sounds wonderful! treat yourself to a true soundcard and get this. you wont regret it. Also, wouldnt it be good to offload audio processing duty from your CPU if you nonetheless use onboard audio?

Appreciate it!!!! anything sounds so considerably clearer in games and in music, so significantly superior than integrated sounds cards in motherboards, it also technically makes ur computer quicker due to the fact ur processor doesn't have to course of action the sounds, which tends to make ur cpu have additional power to handle other tasks, i notice this in games with slightly much more fps. Was a discomfort to install the drivers but i got it to function. Good for me, amazing sound, if u want more though i advocate getting the expensive sounds cards, not confident if they are truly worth it although. meh

I bought this due to reading reviews on my mobo - the sound apparently has issues. I don't like to make the mobo do any longer operate than it has as well. I read many testimonials that speak of this card getting compatible with win 7 64bit and it is. none 16bit - if that matters to you... It doesn't to me - I consider it sounds fantastic so far
