This product did exactly what I wanted. I upgraded an old Dell server with Vista and wanted to improve my video performance. Vista recognozed the card with no problems.

I put this in a older pc with only PCI.. I installed windows 7 with no problems on the first try. Very good video for this level of card .. all of the major items including Aero and streaming video. very pleased...

Bought and installed card May09 in a Dimension 110C PCI slot. I added 3 more case fans to cool it, as the previous card fried. It worked well for on-line games until August when it started to freeze up and fail occasionally, VGA. In Oct09, the card failed to provide a signal on the VGA channel to the monitor, analog. Using the dual monitor mode I connected an HDTV LCD on the DVI output, which works. However, no signal is present on the VGA output. Although it is covered by warranty, manufacturer requires it to be shipped back for evaluation. Loss of a video system for 2 or 3 weeks is not acceptable. Users should avoid this card or purchase a spare.

The card worked good rendering the desktop and other related windows, but when it came to browser related media, it all ran choppy. Games also ran subpar with this card. I am referring to older games pre 2008.

Well, I put this in my old HP desktop to get it to try out Windows 7 and it works fine. I was told that I would have to go in to the BIOS and change things to make it work, because mine has a built in video, but with Windows 7 I just started up the computer with the monitor plugged into the new card and it automatically downloaded the drivers and configured it- after a couple of minutes the monitor started working without my having to do anything!

I love the product. Does all I want and works great with Digital. However, the software for channels leaves a lot to be desired. Sets the channels in Hertz rather than Channel ID. You need to find the hertz in relation to a channel to see what you have. Once set up is ok but takes a lot of setup.

I needed a graphics card that supported at least Pixel Shader 1.1, or better, that was also a PCI card as the computer it was for was an older computer. I wanted a card that would be upgradable later on and this card worked great for me in Windows XP. The performance boost was astounding.

I got two and the results differed so greatly. One works great! One worked for a while then crashed WinXP. Had to reinstall WinXP, which is now stable without this card but crashed with it. Not sure what the problem is...will contact customer support.

Bought this for an older Dell Dimension 2400 with PCI slots only. Vista will now run decently.

This is a great product for a great price.. It seems pretty fast and it seems to work without and issues!! Drivers work great with XP and Vista and again for because of tigerdirect great price!!

there is no fan on this video card so make sure you buy one. This card gets hot and if there is not enough air movement it will lock up. so make sure there is enough air movement inside your case.

I have been checking this card out for a while and I decided,Im gonna try it out.I played a few games like madden 08 on this baby and it handles it pretty good with some lagging.Its a good card but not for serious gamers and overclockers.Go for the more advanced models if your into gaming.The memory bandwith in this card is not very high.

I bought this for my sisters old dell dimension 2400 with a measly 2.4ghz celeron in it. It already had an xfx pci fx5200 128 mb card in it which wasnt doing the job. So anyway the install went well and after i got it running i noticed an immediate increase in performance on the desktop. However the gaming performance was only a little bit better than the 5200 which isnt saying much. The card stays cool at 40c idle and 50c load so the heatsink is doing its job. Cheap, quiet, easy install, fast shipping, Tiger does it again..

I am putting this in a Dell E310, and it seems like everything should work just fine, judging by other reviews. I cannot seem to set the resolution above 640x480 with 16 colors. I tried reinstalling drivers, got the new ones off NVidia's website and installed them, nothing is seeming to work. Otherwise, it seems to be functional, and wasn't a bad deal. I only have pci slots, which if you are looking to buy this card, is probably the same situation you are in. I had a radeon x1550 before this, it died. I thought that this 8400gs, being 514mb, dx10, shader 4.0 would be a better card. In some of the older games i tried it on, such as BF2, it was. However, if you intend on playing any of the newer games such as COD4, COD5, Crysis etc....DON'T GET THIS CARD. I was lagging so bad, the game was absolutely not playable. The x1550 was 2x better for those games. If you aren't planning on playing any games, go for it.
