If you want to upgrade from the crappy On board cards, I recommend this Over and Over. This is a nice card for price, and it works well. I can play all games at max setting, and no lag, or choppy graphics. =]

Ed: I bought three of them this year. I run Win XP in my home built computers. I think they are a great entry level video card. I wish they had a temp read of their processor. As for Vista I won't run that junk in my computers.

I'v had it for about two weeks now. Worked right out of the box. Put it in and off it went great picture. Had no problem playing games or watching movies no problems doing anything.

Worked right out of the box. Worked even better after installing it in my computer! Just a little joke, but seriously, it works under XP and Linux with no problems. Would recommend it to all my friends. Very stable and so far very reliable. I would give it all ten stars if I could. Much better that that ATI garbage.

FWIW, runs great under Linux. Also runs VMWare under Linux fine with WinXP as the guest OS. I do notice that the core is around 62 degrees C which is up around 5 degrees from my old 7300 with a fan. However, with the fan out, you would expect a minimum of a few degrees to be added. Better case fans or ventilation would probably ameliorate that. However, 62 C is not a problem and I am very pleased.

OK well I bought this and it works very good, I can now put my LCD screen up to 1920 x 1200, that is the max setting of it, but I guess it can go to 2560 x 1600, that would be amazing to see, I bought an ATI card a year or so back and went through two of them due to the fans this has no fan or moving parts, so I think it will last longer, and for the price I still can't get over it's that good for that cheep
