Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:One year warranty, died after a year and a half. Bought in August 30 2006, died Dec 2007.

Pros:Well spaced keys with a nice feel, red back lighting is nice.
Comment:
A keyboard is a pretty simple component and from most other manufactures lasts a lot longer than a year and a half and just so you are aware this was one of two of these keyboards I owned (the other the blue backlit version) bought that one around Aug 16 2006 it just died a few weeks ago May 2008 so thats like a year and nine months. Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:-Practically useless wrist pad, the curve in the center can become annoying.

Pros:-Quite-Light is easy on the eyes.-Smooth-Controls for brightness and sound levels.-Durable-Springy keys-Rubber feet on the bottom of the keyboard allow it to stay in place easily.
Comment:
Best keyboard I have ever known, I have been using my Dell keyboard that came with my computer forever, and I felt it was time for a change. If your looking for a new keyboard this one is great, the keys are quite and springy, and smooth to the touch. The red light is easy on the eyes, and is great for late night gaming. It is a bit wider than my old keyboard from Dell, as it just fits on my keyboard holder(wood piece under desk that slides out) with my mouse pad next to it. The rubber pads under the keyboard allow it to stay in one piece with ease. The wrist pad is my only complaint, as it has a curve in the center of it, making it a lot less useful than it could be, it's also not a long pad. I did not know this when I bought it, but it was a nice surprise when I got it that it has three volume controls: Lower volume, raise volume, and mute. This is great if your in a full screen game and cannot get to your volume controls at the time. The red light is great at night as it is very easy on the eyes, and can be turned off and on, with two brightness levels. Overall great keyboard, only wish I could get another wrist pad.

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:Not very many specialized buttons. a bit expensive for what it really is. no usb ports on it.

Pros:Good brand name, better quality. Adjustable backlighting, Fairly long and durable cord, Cool red backlight, isnt too big.
Comment:
This is a really nice keyboard, geared towards gamers. As such it mostly succeeds, however there is a few things it does really well, and some, not so good.As a straight up gaming keyboard, it is a fast, quiet, and reliable keyboard, but lacks many of the features that keyboards of this cost have, such as usb ports, and an abundance of programmable keys.If you are looking for a very good, fairly simpe and well built keyboard, you can't go wrong with this one, altho the cost was a little high as far as I was concerned.

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:None so far

Pros:QualityQuietRed lightning
Comment:
This is a really nice keyboard. Got it on sale for 35$ and I don't regret it! I've upgraded from a chep 20$ multimedia keyboard, and the difference is huge! You can easily see that's a quality keyboard. It's quiet and the feel of the keys is really great. Also with it's red lightning it looks really cool!

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:Not enough media keys

Pros:Quiet, Price, Red LED, Quality craftmanship
Comment:
Excellent keyboard, i got it on sale for $35. I bought it to replace a crappy logiysis keyboard on my second rig and it is like night and day between the 2.The red led is so much nicer then the normal blue or white leds, much more easy on the eyes. It has no where near the capabilities that my g11 has but for $35 im not complaining. Decent board for a decent price.

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:None

Pros:Soft keys.Adjustable brightness.Great for working or gaming in the dark.
Comment:
I have this keyboard on my secondary PC and I love it as much as the G15 I have on my primary PC.The pressure needed to press the keys is soft and quiet. The back lighting is adjustable. The construction is sturdy and it feels heavy for a keyboard.I really like the back lighting for working in the dark. The lighting is red and bright.Great buy.

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:No multimedia shortcuts on the keyboard itself(Just volume control)

Pros:IlluminatedQuiet Key Strokes
Comment:
The red light illumination works excellently, and you can barely here the key strokes. I've noticed that many with keyboards it would sound like you were using an old fashion typewriter. The only drawback is the lack of multimedia shortcuts on the keyboard itself. Personally I never used this functionality on my previous keyboard so I could care less. Also, the red back light is easier on the eyes than the bright blue of my old I find. All in all this is still a great keyboard and one I would highly recommend.

Saitek Wired Eclipse Red Backlit Keyboard
Cons:- Maybe a little expensive- No LCD or shortcut keys like on the G15

Pros:+ Red backlight !!!+ Mostly silent keys+ Responsive keys+ Beautiful and relaxing+ Perfectly sized: a little smaller than usual
Comment:
These keyboards were made for Dell for their red XPS computer series. I am glad a compagny fianlly made a keyboard with a red backlight... and what a keyboard. Of all the bakclighted keyboards, the Saitek Eclipse and the Logitech G15 are at the top. But the Logitech tires my eyes after a whiel and it becoems painful to look at. This one as jsut the right amount of lightning intensity and the red color is a lot more relaxing to look at that the blue colored one.
