I installed this in my old P5k / e6750 system (installed custom firmware on the P5k to enable AHCI), looking for a productivity speed boost to old faithful (7 years running). This system has served me well in gaming and in productivity tasks, but I was looking for an enhancement to the latter of these two as it now takes up most of my computing time. Even though I've installed this on a SATA2 system and thus cannot take advantage of the full speed available on the drive itself, it is a very worthwhile upgrade, and now I think that I should probably be able to make it with this old system for another 6-18 months without a substantial upgrade! Even better, I can port this over to a new system without any worry about needing to upgrade my storage or acquire a new drive, as this one has a solid 10 year warranty and insanely high read-write cycles, which should keep me going to the end of life for my next system!

This SSD is really fast. With 10 years warranty, you cannot get any better. The only not so perfect thing is it does not come with bracket for 3.5" bay. Nowadays, not only laptop use SSD, desktop use it too.
