Overall I'm very happy with this SSD. It's is very quick for the price, very good buy for an entry level build.

This is a very good SSD for the price. I use this on a Sata 2 port (motherboard doesn't support sata 3), and it is still very fast. I get about 200MB/s write and 230MB/s read. These aren't extremely good numbers, but they're not terrible. Everything feels much snappier and my boot times are only about 16 seconds. If you have a Sata 2 motherboard, I highly recommend this drive. If you have Sata 3, I would go with a better SSD, such as the Sandisk Ultra Plus II or the Kingston HyperX Fury, both those drives have synchronous nand flash rather than the asynchronous on this drive.

Used as a boot disk for a OpenElec HTPC. The performance is plenty good enough for running OpenElec even if the SSD is not the latest and greatest.

The price was right for this SSD as i needed something for an older computer. I was not worried if the drive was not blindingly fast, only if it was faster than a regular hard drive and it is. just installed it and its up and running.

I needed an inexpensive SSD for my boot drive and this was it. I wasn't going to buy that cheap Kingston SSD or that PNY brand so I got this. I've bought the faster models from Sandisk before so I knew I could rely on this brand. I'm happy with it's performance considering it's slower. It's quiet of course and it still boots up faster than any HDD.

This is a very good value SSD with the right capacity to fit our OS and applications. Have had this for half a year now and it's performing great, no slowdowns whatsoever. The downside of this drive is its flimsy plastic housing. It can easily bend against force and does not feel sturdy at all. One upside of this is that it is lightweight, making it great to laptops.

U really get what u pay for.For 70$, its not even on the same level as samsung ssds.They NEVER EVER mention the controller ANYWHERE.U HAVE BEEN WARNED.But it still works and pretty fast compaired to hdd.so 4 stars.An essay has been defined in a variety of ways. Make my old dell xps 14 1st gen. (l401x) run like a new one. I did notice more battery life with that ssd than with my old 7200rpm HDD.I'm running it on sata2 so i can't expect heavy performance but it cut by half my boot time. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-30-14 10:30 AM

It works as advertised- fast, quiet and cool, which is quite normal these days for an SSD. Nothing special here. I am very happy with it, and the best part is value, the price was very good for this size. I am sure there are other disks faster and generally better out there but at this price point this disk is hard to beat. Recommended.

This goes against my policy of not reviewing products I haven't personally dealt with, but considering the incorrect image for the product suggesting it's from the "Extreme" line, and that I spent a good 30 minutes with Sandisk trying to narrow down the details, I feel I should speak up. Sandisk claims this is their own controller, but Sandisk having their own controller is news to me. Looking up the part # in Google Images shows a few benchmarks, and the performance profile looks very much like it belongs to the Phison PS3108 controller: good sequential performance, but random performance that wouldn't even flatter a 3-yr old SSD. It's still way beyond a HDD, but unless it significantly undercuts competing SSDs (which it doesn't at the moment), I don't see the advantage this SSD carries. Reliability and power use are big unknowns at this point too.Unless this drive SIGNIFICANTLY undercuts other SSDs, or Sandisk releases a firmware that really tunes up the random performance, I rate this drive a solid "meh."
