SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB 2.5in SATA3 6GB/S Marvell Solid State Disk Flash Drive
Cons:Better drives out there if regular price

Pros:Fast for Sata 1 & 2
Comment:
This is a very good drive if the price is right. Although it is a budget drive and performance is not top notch but this does not matter if it is going into a Sata 1 or 2 only system or laptop. It is a good buy if price is under $60 otherwise there are better SSD.

Though it's the previous generation of sandisk, but it is very good considering the price now. Not bad speed. Recommended.

This is a nice SSD. Not the fastest on the market, but for upgrading an older laptop it's a great choice. Stuck it in a Dell Studio 1735, installed Windows 8.1 and up and running without a hiccup. Seems to run as good as any of a number of cheap SSD's I've used recently. You can't beat the sale price of less than $70. I'd use one of these again in the future if the need arises.

SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB 2.5in SATA3 6GB/S Marvell Solid State Disk Flash Drive
Cons:7mm drive may require a spacer for laptops

Pros:relatively fast. good price. marvell controller. respectable read and write speeds. excellent response time from technical support
Comment:
I got this drive on-sale with free shipping. It is a solid mid-range drive and a far better option than their other drive that is sometimes marketed as "extreme". Make sure you get the correct part/model number as this is SDSSDHP and not SDSSDP. The latter is actually a very cheap entry level drive that probably uses an older "phison" controller whereas the SDSSDHP Ultra Plus uses a marvel controller similar to the tried and proven Crucial and Plextor drives. This went into my media pc as the boot and OS drive and installation and migration of files from the mechanical HDD was issue-free. I still shy away from the Sandforce drives although their previous issues have long been solved. Marvell controlled SSDs remain (for me) the most compatible and trouble-free drives. Though not the fastest, they remain the better option specially since Samsung EVO drives currently have a problem with firmware. Most newer drives nowadays are slim 7mm drives that are designed to fit some ultrabooks (but most now utilize the mSata variant) and may require a spacer for installation in laptops with a standard 2.5". The box clearly states "includes a spacer" but mine did not. This should not be a big issue since a simple cardboard or double side foam tape should make up for the difference - although sandisk support was kind enough to immediately dispatch the required spacer as soon as I contacted them.
