Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons:Kind of pricey and they are always out of stock.

Pros:Love these fans, they are way better then the stock Corsair H100 fans.
Comment:
These are great fans for the Corsair H100 or as a case fan.I should have bought more when they were in stock.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons:if I was to be nitpickty... Cables could be black

Pros:Great static pressureQUIET!!!
Comment:
Bought these to replace the stock fans or the Corsair H80 as they were too noisy. I can't believe the difference in the sound level. At medium setting running Prime after 20 minutes with the stock fans the noise was so loud I had to leavethe room. With these, the sound is beter than stock fans at idle. they move a ton of air, and while quieter maintain the same low 50's temp on my 3930K

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: Unsleeved cable

Pros: Near silent at full speed.
Comment:
The sound to noise ratio for these fans is amazing. The only downside for me is that the cables are unsleeved, but I suppose anyone that truely cares has sleeving and heatshrink handy. The corners are a bit weird though; for certain fan clips you may need to remove some of the plastic.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: over sized fan hub

Pros: price after pm, quiet, high rpm
Comment:
Don't let the pictures fool you, the fan motor hub is HUGE. It seems to use a similar high quality ball bearing motor as the Sanyo Denki San Ace fans, just a lot bigger and more balanced. This results in significantly less noise at a higher RPM. That plus the fan blade design gives this fan pretty good static pressure. The only downside to this design is reduced airflow and a large dead zone behind the fan hub. It's a shame they don't make larger versions.

I have 3 of these on a TFC360 with 50mm shroud. The setup is so silent and efficient ! I can run these at ~1200 rpm and its cooling a 4ghz I7 and 2 OCed GTX460 + a GTS450.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: - Totaly overpriced at regular price. If you price-match them it will be much more reasonable, almost twice less.

Pros: - No LEDS, great look.- Scythe brand = Quality for sure- Lots of CFM and air pressure, really good to be use horizontaly for Corsair 800D.- They did an awesome job making the noise at a non-disturbing tone for the human ear. I mean it's not high pitched so even when running fast it won't annoy you.- Overall very quiet though not so much at 1850rpm but that's to be expected.
Comment:
I never tryed them verticaly but they seem to be even better than the great Scythe S-Flex 120mm I use to have in my previous case (Thermaltake Armor). As I said I bought 3 of them to put on top of my Corsair 800D since otherwise it wasn't evacuhating enough hot air and I couldn't get anymore 4.0Ghz stable on my AMD X6 1055T (Stock 2.8) so I had to lower 1.52v to 1.50v at 3.85GhzThe case is at 1 feet from me and my ears are really sensitive so it would be somewhat too noisy to me at full 1850rpm so I bought a (Zalman ZM-MFC1) fan controler to control up to 6 of my fans. I really recommand it over any other FC!

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Screams qualitySuper quietGood static pressure
Comment:
I've heard a lot of great things about these fans so I picked one up and boy, they did not fail to impress. These are easily some of the highest quality fans you can buy. They have some really nice weight to them. They spin at high speeds but the amount of noise is puts out is very deceiving. It's audible in a quiet room but just barely. The amount of air is pushes isn't a lot but where it really shines is the static pressure. It's great for pushing air through tight/densely packed fin arrays. If you need some quality fans, these are a fantastic choice.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: -Expensive

Pros: -High static pressure-Low noise-Forces a good amount of air through small fins such as in radiators
Comment:
If you have a water cooling setup, these are the best fans for using them in radiators. They have a very high static pressure and can force a good amount of air through the small tight areas between fins. They are slightly better than the Noctua P-12 in terms of airflow and static pressure but make slightly more noise.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons: So popular that they regularly go out of stock but definitely worth the wait.

Pros: good static pressure + quiet
Comment:
Replaced the fans on my Megahalems with 2 of these in push/pull. While my old fans weren't bad at all (Scythe SFlex) I decided to try these after reading glowing reviews on these..and I wasn't disappointed (overall noise went down and temps drop  by 4C). If you want good performing fans without having to put up with too much noise, these fans fit the bill.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons:-Closed corners-A little expensive

Pros:-Solid performance to noise ratio-Excellent build quality
Comment:
Great fans when low noise is the top priority. I have 3 of them spinning at 800-900RPM in my case (Antec P183) and they make practically zero noise while providing sufficient cooling for everything that isn't a benchmark. They start getting a little annoying past the 1400-1500RPM range, but keep in mind that I am very picky. Their performance is a little average at max speed as 2 of them in push/pull on my Hyper 212+ fail to cool my i5 750 f 3.8Ghz better than the single stock Coolermaster Blademaster fan. With that said, They spin a bit slower and make less noise so I am not exactly surprised or disappointed by this. Also note that this fan has closed corners which could cause problem when trying to mount it with something other than screws.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons:- None

Pros:- Quiet- Unique blade style- Relatively high CFM and static pressure allows it to work with Corsair H50 water cooling fairly well
Comment:
I bought a set of these fans after reading some reviews on them.I replaced my stock Corsair H50 fan with these in a push-pull configuration (testing exhaust setup right now). These fans are noticeably quieter than the stock Corsair H50 fan. Airflow is very good.I also tested using a Silenx 14 dBa/72 CFM fan, but testing results were comparable to the stock H50 fan. The Gentle Typhoon's appear to push more air through the radiator relative to the stock H50 fan and the Silenx fan.OC'd Core i7 860:Stock H50 fan (intake): 28C idle; 51C loadTwo Gentle Typhoon's (push-pull exhaust): 26C idle; 49C loadCase: NZXT Tempest

Pros:High ReliabilityLittle to no Bearing NoiseHigh CFM to noise ratioLow power usage
Comment:
Simply amazing fans. I bought two to replace the panaflo's on my radiator and ended up ordering more to replace all the fans in my case! Simply the best fan out there considering cfm to noise ratio. You can not compare these to other fans based on RPM as they push less air per RPM compared to other fans. However they are as quiet as fans 300-400 RPM slower and they also have a very nice and smooth sound profile. Up close they are comparable in noise to other fans but get them more then a few inches a way and there noise just blends in with the enviroment. They are simply just awesome.

Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan
Cons:Not 4 pin. (Would be great for a CPU HS.)

Pros:Good for horizontal use.Quiet for the speed/CFM.
Comment:
I got 4 of these and put 3 in the top of my 800D on the FC2 controller. Running at 50% draws a good amount of air in and though audible, not loud or annoying. Even at 100% I find it acceptable.

Pros:Quiet, pushes a lot of air..
Comment:
I have 4 of these hooked up to a ZALMAN MFC1 Plus-B. You don't hear these fans at at any rpm - at at top speed they push more air than 14cm fans; and they do it quietly.

Pros:QualityAdjustable SpeedSimple
Comment:
This is a great fan to pick up. Kind of expensive at the price here, but if you price match its defineately worth it. The fan has no LEDS with it, which is good and is quiet on low and medium setting, but the sound is noticeable on high. The only bad thing is the wire to adjust the speed is very short. Would have been better if it was made longer. All in all, 4/5 Stars.
