SeaSonic SS-300ET Bronze 300W Power Supply
Comment:
SeaSonic are still the best. Have always applied them and they are often silent running, steady and dependable. Able to withstand power outages and surges with no a surge protector. And are as power efficient as any psu on the industry. (tried fsp and these are more efficient) None My old 380 watt SeaSonic applied to power just about any system I put it in and it is going on 7 years old. It is nonetheless powering a system now. Tried this little 300 watt...it was not really enough for the following htpc program: 890GX chipset, 95 watt quad core, 8 gigs ram, 2T WD "green" drive, 80G SSD, 5450 graphics card, HT omega striker sound card. Method would have random shutdowns. Changed to an older 550watt Mushkin modular supply and method runs ideal. The 300watt is now in this system: 780G chipset, 65 watt dual core, 2G ram, 160G SATA drive (onboard graphics and sound). Runs great and idles under 40 watts.

Incredibly, quite quiet. Runs cool, supporting this barely-audible system:BIOSTAR A770 motherboardPhenom 9350e w/ Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro heatsink4 GB ƒx2) DDR2-800 @ 5-5-5-15OCZ Onyx series 64 GB SSDEVGA Nvidia 8600 GT w/ Zalman VF-700-CU cooler Lite-On iHAS124-04 ODD3x Scythe S-Flex SFF80A ࿰mm, 1000 RPM) fansHoused in a slightly-modded GMC R-two Toast AZT-GMCR2-BL caseThe loudest component is the Zalman VGA heatsink, which is marketed as a quiet component; it has a low-speed mode, which it's in. This PSU and the CPU heatsink are the second-loudest components but are both quite quiet as they are. The ATX power bundle isn't wrapped, and most of the cables aren't very nicely tied. This makes cable organization a less-than-pleasant experience. Get some added twist ties for controlling the cable clutter and you're set.

Cool and Quiet. Energy Efficient. Good quality item. Would have liked to pay a few bucks less. When the new Energy Star Standards go into effect I'm confident these will drop in cost.
