SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:None
Pros:Value80PLUS Comment:
Great budget PSU. I can't attest to the longevity of this product yet, but on my latest build it's worked well. It's fairly quite, has the underside fan for some extra air movement, and it's 80plus certified for power savings. It's hard to find anything at this price point that offers all the features on this. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:CPU cable is little short
Pros:Bang for the buckQuiet Comment:
This is a good power supply for people with little budget. Its fundamentals are strong: good voltage outputs and quiet. The only trouble I have is the aux cable for CPU just long enough. Maybe, I have to blame my case because it puts power supply at the bottom. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Noisier than last PS - not really dB noisy, but an irritating frequency noise.
Pros:$50 shipped Comment:
Bought this to replace a 350W that crapped out. Good deal, I like the fan underneath helping with airflow. Other reviews mentioned having trouble with "SATA connectors too close on the line". The connectors are no closer than previous power supply. Also, there are two SATA power cables, each with two connectors. One cable/pair to HDs, one cable/pair to optical? |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:I had to use an old IDE DVD drive, because the SATA power cables are too close.
Pros:Cheap price, good quallity, easy to set up.Very excellent for budget builds. Comment:
I am running a Radeon X1950 Pro, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+, An Asus M2A-VM motherboard, 2 Gigs of RAM, 2 drives, and several fans on the Antec 900 with this baby. Everything seems to work great, more than enough power. I had one problem, the SATA power connectors are connected on one cord, which means I can only use them for either the Hard Drive, or the DVD drive, this required me to use an old DVD drive. Without this shortcoming, this product would easily get 5 stars. |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:Could have a few more connectors (SATA)
Pros:Quiet, efficient (80+ certified) and good fan Comment:
Great powersupply for the price. Can't find anything close in this price range with the same range of features or 80+ certified. Bought this for an old socket A/ubuntu machine I was building and it works great. This is running a mobile socket A XP y 2.8 GHZ (OC from 1.8 Ghz), 1 HDD, 1 optical, an ATI X700 and a watercooling loop and it runs it with no problems what so ever. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a lower wattage powersupply. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-28-08 05:05 AM |

SeaSonic SS-400ET 400W Power Supply
Cons:The only 2 sata power connectors are on one line and too close together. I could not get my DVD drive and Hard Disk connected at once. I will either have to buy a SATA power extension cable or a molex to SATA adapter to power my DVD drive.
Pros:Surprisingly quiet. (so far) Comment:
I used this power supply in a Dell Inspiron 530 to power an XFX GeForce 8800GT. So far it's working fine and quietly. No lockups while playing TF2 so I believe it's sufficient power for my 8800GT. As I said in the weakness section; I could not get my DVD drive and Hard Disk powered at the same time, because the SATA power connections are too close together on the line. This runs my system perfectly. I have always used Antec power supplies, which are made by Seasonic for the most party, but this power supply is perfect for 85% of people out there. Unless your running SLI or Crossfire highend video cards, this will run any system on the market. Also this is the perfect PSU for any HPTC build out there due to it being whisper quiet. Very pleased overall, plus its $49.99
