Sennheiser HD280PRO Headphones 8-25000HZ 64OHMS 9FT Black
Cons: The curly cord

Pros: Great soundHigh quality hinges and head bandMost parts user replaceableGreat isolation
Comment:
I've had these headphones for over a year now, and being my first set of mid range audiophile grade phones, I can say I couldn't be more pleased. I use them for things like lab work, noisy bus rides, computing at night, gaming, and general music listening. The closed back design keeps me from hearing everything around me, and makes sure that nobody hears what I'm listening to. The sound quality on these is superb for a pair of closed back headphones, which is to be expected from Sennheiser. The majority of my music collection is lossless, so these really make my collection shine. Excellent positional audio in games, and of course, good for movies as well. Although they are a bit tight, they are still comfortable for me for extended listening periods. The leather padding is fairly soft, and is all user replaceable. The only complaint that I have about these isn't even really a complaint, but more of a personal preference. I don't like the curly cord. The cord though, is user replaceable. Overall, highly recommended.

Sennheiser HD280PRO Headphones 8-25000HZ 64OHMS 9FT Black
Cons: Earcups are nearly watertight

Pros: Excellent sound for the moneyExcellent sound isolation
Comment:
Bought these based on recommendations from people in an online forum (NSFW, don't ask); I was using a pair of Logitech 2.0 desktop speakers or Sennheiser MX550 earphones. They're so good, after the first song I couldn't go back to either - or even the sound via HDMI-out on the R4870. It's also the reason I upgraded the sound to Asus Xonar DX, as the onboard sound really doesn't do justice to these cans. The only bad part about these cans is, as most people have said, they are very tight-fitting. It clamps on your ears like a vise and can be unbearable when worn for long periods.Buy these. You won't be disappointed.

Sennheiser HD280PRO Headphones 8-25000HZ 64OHMS 9FT Black
Cons:So far none besides a need for a slight tweak to equalize as their brand new.

Pros:Clear rich full bodied sound, and their not even broken in yet. Comfortable for long duration wear, coiled cord and quality manufacture, replaceable parts
Comment:
The reviews were all correct and I'm glad I listened these are better then the price would have you believe,Far better then the Sennheiser HD200s these replaced although a tad heavier. If you can't afford the 595s you can't go wrong with these I'm looking forward to pairing them up with an STX as I'm currently using a very noisy soundblaster card. Now having told you how good these are I got the last pairAnd I ain't sharing.

Sennheiser HD280PRO Headphones 8-25000HZ 64OHMS 9FT Black
Cons:Bulky - not ideal for portable useBass is somewhat lacking

Pros:Coiled cableNoise isolation very goodOverall sound quality
Comment:
The bass is sometimes not at strong as I would like but these are definitely an upgrade from my stock ipod earbuds. The isolation with these things are incredible and are comfortable even after long periods of usage. If you are having a problem with them being too tight, I've heard placing them over a basketball will help with that.

Sennheiser HD280PRO Headphones 8-25000HZ 64OHMS 9FT Black
Cons:-Seems a bit tight on ears, maybe cause it's new-Sealed earcup, ears get hot :(-Not a very attractive headphone when worn

Pros:-Extremely durable build quality-Sound stage!-Coiled cable-Sealed earcup-Full sized earcup-Decent comfort-1/8inch jack! with 1/4inch adapter-Collapsable, ideal phones for traveling
Comment:
I bought these HD280Pro for traveling, because they are sealed earcups, I won't bother anyone (or they won't bother me) when I am listening music on transportation. But these are quite amazing and these are comparable to (almost as good as) my HD555. Just ignore all the people that's making fun of you when you wear these, you can't hear them anyway! :)Sound Stage, exactly what a DJ wants. Require approx. 100 hours before it start to sound right. It is a good idea to stretch these (but don't try to break them), because they go on super tight especially when new.HD280Pro sounds more "Boomy" to me, and HD555 sounds more "warm" to me.
