Functions. Basically functions. However the aged VGA technology is my only way to go right after a weird occurrence. My DVI port on my secondary 19in LCD went out. Yes, only the DVI connection. Tried an additional new DVI cord, hooked up my other monitor through DVI to my GPU to make sure the DVI port is ok, which it is. Just weird for a port to quit on a monitor. The VGA is noticeably lower excellent than the DVI connection, but still helpful. Eh.

It does what it is supposed to: let you connect a VGA cable to a DVI slot on a video card. And it does it flawlessly.Also, it's really solidly built, with metal encased in difficult plastic. Damaging it although the pins are covered by other hardware would be rather tough. The screws to hold it in place are rather tight, so it takes perhaps an additional 10 seconds to install more than what it would if they moved more effortlessly. Or less time than it took you to read this review.

I have two of these they run duel screen fine. Limits the speed that a signal can be sent to my monitor to the speed of light. .... It's better than obtaining a new monitor/GPU.

Works fine. That's about it. None for me There definitely is not considerably to say. If you are searching for a DVI to VGA converter, then this is a very good item. It's less costly than the others and that's what caught my eye. That's about it. Very good product.

This is an update from my other review in which it didn't work. I got a new one from the company, and it works fine. Does what it's supposed to do. Screws are a little difficult to twist Overall, great item. Four stars for very first dead one

Wonderful Adapter, I just connected it to my Radeon X1550 and it worked awsome. My monitor is beginning to black out every when in a even though It worked wonderful with my Games and the resolution was awsome

Can use ADC output... The DVI output is not a dual link DVI. It is an Apple DVI output and will only work with apple display monitors. I was able to get a second video card for more affordable than this adapter.

Only needed for dual-monitor set-up and for playing HD movies smoothly. Gets the job completed fine on both (haven't tested with gaming considering that I'm not a gamer). Windows 7 recognized it with no difficulties, no compatibility issues. Seems to run cool. This video card is long and nearly blocked off access to one of the power supply cables going to my motherboard, and the heat-sink is big, blocking access to the PCI-express slot beneath it. Thankfully, I only want 1 of those slots for my network adapter, but it stinks to know I can't use that slot for something else with out taking the video card out.

I bought this adapter to have my graphics card (DVI) plug into a VGA cable, which would then plug into the back of my monitor which supports only VGA and HDMI. The Adapter does exactly what it needs to do, with NO quality loss. I'm plugged into a 24" monitor, and 1920 x 1080 looks clear as HDMI. Videos playback just peachy!
