Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:Can't think of any... Just don't drink it ;)
Pros:Good cooling propertiesUV reactiveLooks good in a loopGood for lubing up the tubing to install tight fittings Comment:
Great product for any water cooling loop. UV reactivity, good cooling properties and decent price make for good times. As an added bonus, if you ever have a leak and have your UV CCFLs going, you'll see exactly where it is ;) |

Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:-Not a biocide, going to have to add PT_NUKE into the mixture.
Pros:-Cheap alternative to competitors such as fluid XP+-Gets the job done-Anti corrosive agent, lubricates the pump as well Comment:
Overall great product, it's a cheap alternative to it's competitors and gets the job done nicely. To bad, it's not a biocide as well, but thats it's only shortfall. |

Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:- None as I know
Pros:- Uv Reactive- Cheap Comment:
This stuff is doing the job well, nice color and no need to add other chimical in my loop. It's UV reactive and doing all that for 4.99$ what else would you expect. |

Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:none
Pros:price, anti-corrosive properties Comment:
I bought this as an additive to add to my new water cooling loop. At the 5-10% concentration recommended I can make enough coolant to fill my loop twice. At a price or $4 this is a very useful and inexpensive additive to use. As a bonus, it is also UV reactive for those who like that sort of thing. The only drawback might be that some might not like the radioactive green look and adding other dyes to this is not recommended. |

Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:None.
Pros:Anti-algea and anti-corrosion. Low electrical conductivity. Comment:
I used this with de-mineralized water(in correct ratio) when installing a complete water-cooling system including CPU, GPU and Chipset. After a couple of days, my graphics started to get weird with random visual errors in windows and even in the BIOS. I shut-off the computer and looked inside. At first everything looked fine. Then I noticed droplets of green fluid on the top side of my graphics card(Asus N6600),opposite from the side where the core is. The fittings on the chipset water block weren't tightened all the way and slowly leaked a bit of fluid which then dripped to the video card causing visaul errors. I removed the card and cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. After tightening the fittings on the chipset water block I reinstalled the video card. Everything worked great and nothing has spilled since. So the conclusion is that the coolant is slightly electrically conductive but not so much as to cause permanent damage to the circuits. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-16-07 04:58 PM |

Swiftech Hydrx Water Additive Coolant 2 oz Bottle
Cons:Sticky, really sticky.
Pros:Actually does keep algae from forming Comment:
Two years ago I bought some koolance stuff and had to eventually toss my whole cpu block, got all gunked up with debris and algae. This Hydrx has worked so far, just disassembled the whole thing for an upgrade, and it looks just as pretty as when I first bought it. But one thing I didn't notice with the Koolance stuff, while purging the rad I spilled a good bit on my hands. This stuff is sticky. Even when diluted in the water. Now I don't know if that's a huge deal, it's not like it changes the viscosity of the water at all, it's just felt like when you've got wet sugar on your hands. I wonder if that's a problem now that blocks use this fancy micro channels? Bah. I haven't noticed an increase in temps yet, we'll find out in another six months. |

Just set up my first WC system and everything worked great with this product. I even had a leak while the system was running and found a puddle of this stuff ontop of my 2900xt and sound card but after cleaning up the mess and fixing the leak every thing worked! I would recommend this to anybody.
