I bought this for my Wii - to watch Netflix. Although I have Wi-Fi in the house, I believe in wired connections where possible for and maximum redundancy & throughput. This product works right out of the box and Wii has driver support built-in. I didn't experience any problem due to network cable length (my connection is home run to my network patch panel downstairs).A good product that does what it's supposed to do well.

For the price this is something useful. I bought it in case of some emergency or if any needs arise for it. Better be prepared than sorry. It works out of the box for what it is intented to do and I didn't had any trouble.I recommand it as for the price it is very nice. (I got it at half price when in special)

I needed to hook up an internet connection but the PC already had an ethernet cable for a network. Using this adaptor solved the problem and by using a front USB port they are able to disconnect when they are not online.

I got a trouble to set it up at the beginning and finally found out it's because the ethernet cable is too long to the router. It seems it will work well with maximum 25ft cable length. If beyond that you will get trouble for connectivity. Sometime cannot even get ip address assigned. I tested with different routers/computer(with usb 2.0) and got the same result. Probably due to usb powered ethernet has limited power supply. Not sure if all usb ethernet adapter will have the same issue or it's a deffective item. It's not very covenient if you have large network setup with long cable run.

Bought this to get my Wii online since there is no wifi in my house. Has worked perfectly so far, much better then a wifi dongle I had recently used to get my Wii online.

I bought this adapter in order to connect my computer to a new external hard drive I purchased recently. The adapter works as advertised, and it perfectly suited to its purpose. I just feel it's a little overpriced for the simple task it performs.

The ethernet port on my laptop doesn't work but is soldered in to the motherboard, so replacing it is impractical. This adapter works perfectly - easy to install, nice transfer speed, no problems whatsoever. Works exactly as advertised.

Working on an HP desktop with Vista, initially my internet connection dropped like once a day using this and I had to unplug it from the USB port and then plug it back in and then the connection was good the rest of the day. Problem was fixed when I updated the driver from the Trendnet web site, using the driver there even though the install told me it was older than the driver I already had. No problems since then, highly recommend this product and this site is my favorite place to shop online.

This is a great product. It does everything it claims to do. We had a randomly functioning ethernet connection on a laptop. This device enabled us to extend the laptop life.

I tested it on two Vista Home Premium systems, and it installed right away without the CD. On XP SP3 and Win2000, I needed the CD, but it was a painless install. Worked perfectly each time, with no noticeable difference in network performance. USB cable is hard-wired into unit, so you'd need an extension if you don't want it so close to the workstation (I didn't want to leave it dangling over the back of my desk). I would definitely purchase another.
