Purchased along with a standalone X2 5600+ and Mobo combo. Keeps it under 30C for most of the time, if I'm gaming it'll jump up two or three degress but thats nothing. Another great product from Tiger Direct. |

Awesome heat spreader / fan for under $20! I bought this for bundle M452-2845, which is an AMD X2 5000 Black Edition (not OC'd...yet). I was a little concerned it would be hard to fit on the board, not a problem. This is a big heatsink combo people. It's about the size of my old Thermaltake Volcano12 and Antec 92mm Tornado (which was louder than my vacuum cleaner). This thing is practically silent. Only other fan is a 80mm for exhaust, right by this. Using OCZ Freeze extreme and idling at 28c - 29c. Dunno about under load, still installing, haven't tested. Highly recommended for under $20! |

using one of these on my Athlon x2 Black Edition OC'ed 2.90 GHz keeps it nice and cool. i also have 4 case fans (one in the front, two exausting out the back and 1 pullin nice cool air to the CPU fan) RPM's are a little low but it still keeps it cool, my GPU runs hotter than my CPU. never got over 55c playing John Woo's Stranglehold, CoD4, or Vegas 2. Idle is around 34-39c |

Just bought this today to replace stock AMD2 6000+ heatsink, my temps jumped 10C to 15C, tought did something wrong with the thermal gel the guy sold me with this, re-did the whole thing, no change, used my old thermal paste and did it again, same result.YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! lesson learned, will never skimp on the $$$ again. |

For the price, its a decent CPU fan dont get me wrong. But for overclocking your CPU, STAY AWAY. This thing has been in my new rig for a about a month now and its already having an RMP fall from 1300 to barly 1000. Keeps my AMD 64 X2 4400 OC to 2.53GHZ apposed to 2.2GHZ and the CPU fan temp is just about 50C. Not too healthly in my opinion. IF your looking for a OC cpu fan don't bother, but if your on a budget and you just need a fan to keep your CPU cool, buy it. |

I installed this fan yesterday, and i have to say i'm quite impressed. It keeps my AMD 3800+ at an average 36*C, which was (of course) much better than my stock fan. Its a little large, but not too much bigger than the old one. Its pretty quiet too. I'm gonna get a 5200+ processor and see if its still as cool; i have confidence in it |

I'm almost positive this is one of the quietest, hardest working fans ever. I have an AMD Athalon 5400+ X2 overclocked 7% and the only thing I hear is my avast anti-virus updating. |

Nice fan! Order 3 of these bad boys. There quite 2. they would run on average around 850rpm and kick up if they needed 2. these fans are pretty big 2. kept the cpu you around 98 - 110 degree's. |

I very much recommend this product (it was recommended to me by a friend) I am running an AMD Athelon X2 6000+ at 33c idle and 38c 100% load. This is a good start for anyone building a computer on a budget |

The heat sink and fan come with the AMD processor provided better colding than this one. Though it does run at a much lower RPM (1500) compared to the AMD one (3500+). |

to the guy who said it sucks. you probably installed the heat sink incorrectly and didn't have perfect contact between the cpu and the heat sink if you were getting temps up to 98c. something is wrong and its probably not the heat sinks fault. |

I could not believe how good this fan was for the price. I put this thing on My most recent build with an AMD (2.8 ghz) AM2 5400+ and after cleaning off the crappy thermal paste that is pre applied to the cooling unit, and replacing it with some OCZ Thermal Paste, the processor was running at 23 degrees C at idle and 29 under 100% load. I felt a little too comfortable with those temps and overclocked it to 3.00ghz 32 degrees C idle and 49 degrees C on load. All in all it is a great product for the average PC, decent for a small overclock, (in my case i got a 200mhz boost in processing speed per core) and it is small enough to comfortably fit on a micro ATX MOBO. I did not have trouble attaching this to the board at all and would recommend it for any average build over using the stock cooling. |

Obviously, you don't buy a fan like this if you're doing high overclocking or you're running a hot CPU. My Athlon 64 x2 3600+ CPU runs at around 30-35 degrees non-overclocked. When overclocked at a modest 2.4 Ghz, it's around 45 degrees under stress. I only have 1 rear-mounted case fan. |

Great fan perfect for a beginner, keeps my pc at 30-33 degrees C, or 85-92 degrees F. Quiet can't even hear it in my case look's good to because my case has a plexiglass side. |

Great little fan if your not looking to overclock. Was very surprised to find thermal grease already on it! Nice little added bonus..
